Hey guys,

I have a real problem with FPSC which didn't used to be here. Look at the screenshot to see the problem. It didn't used to do this, even after I got the latest version (1.16.018). It simply doesn't lightmap the ceiling at all (there is actually a ceiling in the screenie) and the walls don't lightmap properly. Plus the ground is really overbright, like the bloom shader broke. I haven't changed anything, either. Actually it seems to work ok if no lights are placed, but the ambient light doesn't seem to affect it. Then one day I tried placing lights in the scene, and, after lightmapping, it went broke like. The screenshot is attached. Anyway here are some specs and details:

EDIT: It works a bit better (not at all properly) if I run it from the folder after building as standalone.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.4GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT 512mb
RAM: 2Gb
OS: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3
DirectX: 9.0c

Thanks,
Clonkex

try lowering the ambience (in game) using "<" and ">"

[EDIT]

try decreasing the light size

I thought people were supposed to help with this! Why has no one actually given any useful information (excluding bman332211; at least he tried to help)???

What's the point of a bug-report board if no one takes any notice???

I actually cannot use FPSC until this is fixed.

Sorry I haven't been to the bug report board for quite some time.

Try using the fpsc-cleaner.exe. Or try a fresh re-install.

I've had this issue as well. I think these will do the trick

If they don't, then add me on msn and I'll offer you live support.

Unfortunately I tried all that already and it sometimes fixes it temporarily but more often doesn't. Also unfortunately is I can't use MSN.

Thanks for the help anyway.

Thanks, ozziedave!

Yes, with these options to 0, ambiance looks more better.

But I don't understand: why these settings are not by default in FPSC installation? Or, why the upgrade do not change these options, if are wrong?

I installed all from scratch (Win7, FPSC v1, FPSC 118b3 upgrade) occuring the ambiance problem (of course before changing above sets by the hand)!
