Greetings! I am currently making a bit of software called FPScapture. What this enables you to do is to record your FPSC videos. I am creating this software in VB 2010. I am currently looking for testers for the software. I will post screenshots of my progress below! There may be a bit of lag but not much

knxrb the resident multi-player expert is now co-developing this along side me
Full release:
For everyone having problems with the DLL you can try this new version:
https://forumfiles.thegamecreators.com/download/2128678

If it doesn't fix it then install the free Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 from here:

hmm, sounds intriguing but not enough detail to suffice. yes. we need screenshot for one thing. the other is that you need to tell us how it works and what it will be like. is this just another random software like FRAPS(even though FRAPS is commercial-quality) or just for FPSC. and if so, how?

Pingas. Period.

Good question. This will be just for fpsc as it will enable you (hopefuly) to capture a video or image of your game without any loss of lag. Its not like fraps as this is going to be free. It will be a very simple interface with two buttons, One that will allow you to capture your game and one to stop the record. It will take time to complete. i will post a screenshot as soon as the first test is ready. If you have anymore questions please put them below!

I've never found a capture software that didn't drop frames. I'll definitely test it.

I typically don't trust softwares created by others until they are OKd by either TGC or the bulk of testers. But it sounds like an excellent program. If it works, I will definitaly download

Just something I thought would be worth pointing out. It seems like it would be a bit of a problem for people to push a button on your app while they're playing the game that they are wanting to capture video/screens of. Are you meaning you will bind these functions to keys on the keyboard?

Um I don't think you realize that coding this isn't easy. First you have to take pictures, judging by the code you showed,it does nothing, and then you have to glue all the pictures together, encode with a video codec and compile... Avoiding lag from the encoding is almost impossible, using a crappy codec sure makes less lag but the video is useless.

Not to criticize but think about it,it ain't as easy as it sounds.

So,you think you can make a program that doesn't cause frame rate drop, while the people who created FRAPS,etc. can't ... Yeah good luck with that, but as a programmer I'm telling you , you are entering deep waters you have no clue of.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way and I wish you luck with your projects, but you need a lot more knowledge and experience to attempt such things.
