Looking at line 1 or line 2 on these demo projects it's just an ordinary object command not a dkshop command.... ok when I compile - goes wrong when I compile AND run

Runtime Error 7804

7.6 is just a compiler update to get a new plug-in into the world.

7.7 contained library changes, including to the 3D Maths commands which was quite a number of changes to enhance validation and add performance.

I don't have either of DK's plug-ins, or their help files, so you'll need to at least post the example code here for me to look at.

... and, if it helps, here is my link to the versions of DKShop and DKAVM versus the versions of DBPro...

what is really weird is that it is giving that error in relation to seemingly innocuous lines in the .dba code rather than lines containing the DKShop and DKAVM commands...

I guessing, but it might have something to do with this.

Quote: "Math
----
Reserve vector/matrix 0 for library use, in line with other libraries - currently protect unavailable id's from update
Re-engineer structures of the vector classes - now safely polymorphic, and no larger than before

@ griffirr,

Sadly, I think you are right...

Don't suppose we could persuade Lee then to put in a similar Pick Limb command (similar to DK Pick Limb) with u7.7+?

@ Lee etc - is latest rc of 7.7 supporting DKAVM/DKShop?

If not, a pick limb command is, let's face it, v v useful...

I guess I am no the only one having the same problem
all of the examples do now work as they keep
coming up with the same error

Runtime Error 7804 - Matrix4 number is illegal at line 1

is there any way to find out what the number should be ?

@ Resouceful,

Glad to have someone else who noticed this and wants it to work.

That pick limb commands is so very handy...

Really hope the end version of U7.7 is compatible with DKShop/DKAVM or Lee creates a similar command / set of commands....

I know programing is not easy

and this clearly proves when the base is changed
then other things go south

at some point I may just have to stick with dbp 7.4

because every thing after that is getting twisted and not for the better

I'm even considering trying to learn Dark GDk
c++ or similar is out of my understanding
and with TGC abandoning improvements to Dark Physic's
it may just come down to that

@ Resourceful....

Damn, think you're right - any other ways I could use a 2d location on screen (the x,y of the mouse say) to pick a limb on an object quickly?

umm

you would think so

but that all depends of your object
shown as

-x-xx-x
--x--x
-x----x

but Dkvavm go's once step further from what I can see
and gist to the triangle that is in a limb
and from there you can have your program interact with that peace

I've put a post in about this in the DLLs section and emailed DmitryK to see if he might release a version compatible with u7.7...

Just by way of update, Dmitry actually responded to my email (!) and is going to take a look at his plugins to try and make them u7.7 compatible although he comments it could take a while - understandable! Still a step forward....

Until of course u7.7 - which is the direction DBPro is heading in with all the library changes etc. Sill there is that new Phyics plugin in the making which may allow for some raycasting to limbs etc...

@ Resourceful,

Here you go:-

thanks Duffer

as far as I know there are like
3 different vehicle physics engine
and they all work with no problems

but liquid color picking is not there

some one in the forum was working on a plugin to put holes
in objects but had abandon it since it was getting too complied

those were the only things not covered to the level
they should have been

Not to Mention there were spelling mistakes in example
give with Dark Physics that some one was nice enough
correct and they example works now

THGCP is soo close to equiling what c++ can do but
the missing peaces said about are all that is left
to be part of the THGCP family

@ SMD_Interactive,

Nope, these were two magnificent plugins by DMitryK - DKShop and DKAVM - look at the downloads attached above - and unfortunately u7.7 has bust them....

there is now DBP 7.62 and only because of "Dark DynamiX - PhysX Wrapper for DBPro/GDK"
was added to DBP family .. well more like a replacement for Dark Physics

and they wanted to put in about there latest product

DBP 7.7 RC7 is locking this out

to move side ways - is to move forward
