I've enjoyed some of the space trading games (including IBOL's) so now I want to make my own.

Here's a screenshot of what I've got to this point.

So far only system generation and ship movement, but I'm working on lots more.

Easy trivia question - What ship is that at Sagitta?

Bonus trivia question - What game do the system names come from?

Here's a new screenshot.

@baxslash - BINGO! or rather, Ker-Bang! You got it.

I still play Ascendancy every now and then. Random maps, random opponents, extensive tech tree, varied tactical options, multiple victory conditions, 3D before there WAS 3D. About the only thing it lacks is a challenging A.I.

Well, you're both right, it is the Serenity, which is a Firefly class freighter.

Here's a new screen shot, I'm adding in planet descriptions.

True. It is also true that not every ship named Serenity has to be a Firefly class ship.

The original questions was "What ship is that...", not "What class ship is that...", so the correct answer must be a ship name, not a class name.

Do we know of any other Firefly class ships that look like the Serenity? I can't remember any being mentioned in the series or movie, except that Kaylee compares different models a couple of times.

Ermes - I've only been working on the program for about three weeks, but give me a little more time, and I'll post a demo.
