I want to make an AC130 type thing in fps creator. I know that this is possible with project blue (And yes, I used the search bar), http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=171985&b=21

Right now, I do not have the money for project blue. All it will be is the player, standing on an invisible platform in the air, with an overlay hud over the view, so it has the view of an ac130. Is there a way to do this (Without project Blue), Thanks. Really need...

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

I think I would be able to model a basic ac130 which could circle around the level, the only problem being that I do not know how to make animations play for animated objects in fpsc.

Well the thing is he wants the character to be the AC130, he doesn't need a model of one. I think it'd be reasonably easy to achieve.

- Make a hud that looks like an AC130, which I would do by making a full-screen shader of it. Just edit the nightvision one or something.

- Make it so your character is like, 10 stories high on a transparent platform, then make it so he can't move.

- Hide the view-models of a rocket launcher, a faster shooting rocket launcher, and some sort of gun, so it looks like you're cycling through the multiple weapons that an AC130 has

You should be good to go. I would help you make the shader but sadly I am completely useless when it comes to making that sort of stuff. Anyway, I wish you luck!

@Poloflece

That would be cool too, never thought of that, having enemy ac130s. You wouldnt really have to animate it. You could put 'IsCharacter = 1" Into the FPE, and give it a waypoint. Then have it shoot at you. Cool, that is a good idea too!

@Stick Masta

Thanks for the suggestions... Those are good ideas, but I tried doing that sort of thing already. I edited a helmet hud so its like an ac130, converted it to dds, and then went to build game -> Level settings -> Global Script, and changed the lives hud to that pic, and gave it 50X 50Y. It takes up whole screen, but... I knew PURE Black was invisible in fpsc engine, so I put black where you want to see like in an ac130. But, when I play, black is black. Not invisible. You can't see anything... Any suggestions??? I will try your other idea with the nightvision and stuff too though... And thanks about the weapons tip. That was a problem I was also thinking about, but you solved it! Awesome man, thanks...

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I think you could use trigger zones to make explosions and sounds appear. Whilst the 130 can be an explodable dynamic entity.
