hi all,
I am currently working on a 3D game based on the movie Pirates of the Carribean. First of all I don't know what to name it. I had it named Pirates of the Carribean, but that would be copyrighting the name, so I changed it to Pirates, well during the development of my game, a game came out called Pirates , and now I'm trying to think what to name it.
uhh ok ill edit this with everything else like a picture and stuff later, but i dont know how to upload a picture . so just wait a few hours, and ill try to, so plz dont comment yet, unless about the name

EDIT: ok heres the website for the game http://expage.com/piratesmainpageso u dont have to read all the way down to the bottom to find it

EDIT2: and im still taking name ideas, i have a screenshot on my website, and the first demo is scheduled for May 30th 2005

EDIT3: In case your not a person that clicks "last page" on WIP's heres some screenshots to encourage you to visit the website above (which has been updated last week)

EDIT4: (dang this is getting to be a lot of edits ) please view the last post if you are interested in this game or have visited the websited. Thanks.

Video games…they take you places unreachable, unfeasible. Putting you in the book...putting you in the movie...putting you in a world, that before could only be imagined. expage.com/piratesmainpage.

If it's based on the movie, then that's copyright infringement anyway, so you might as well just go all out and name it Pirates of the Carribean :p

you mean the website was plain? or the game, and about how small it was, follow the links on the website to the screenshots, theres a really big one on it, ok and ill take "it doesnt look to bad" as a compliment , i have lots of plans for it and i think that it will be like a mmorpg, but not online.

ok so it will be a massive lan multiplayer game? cause mmorpg stands for massive multiplayer online role playing game, so your sorta messing up that sentence, and yes not too bad means i think it's good.

no, im saying its like a mmorpg because the AI are going to be very smart, as close as i can get to real people, and the game will be very free, like most mmorpg's are, but it wont be online. And ok thanks for the compliment, didnt know if u meant it was bad, but you didnt want to say so u just said that, or you meant it "wasnt bad" meaning good . And did u get the larger screenshot to work?

EDIT: and about the mmorpg if you've ever played pirates of the caribbean, thats the free feel im going for, but even more so

Be VERY careful how you use those words ¨MMORPG¨ for there are A LOT of people out there waiting to pounce on anyone who claims they are working on one.

If you are having trouble with saving it as a jpg, or attaching a file, I can say with certanity that you will not even have a chance in making the ¨MMORPG¨.

P.S.
And don´t go asking for help for a MMORPG, trust me (Talk to Sage Tech)

It WONT be online, its not a mmorpg!

EDIT: and as for saving it as a jpeg, i didnt have any trouble at all, it was that i didnt realize that i needed to save it as a jpg to load it on the web, and i have be developing this game since last February, and I've been using DBPro since last December, and DB since almost three years ago. But i guess some people dont think i can do it . O well, I'll try not to be discouraged .

EDIT 2: Also im in highschool, and when im not at school, or doing homework then im making my game or playing another to get ideas

o, and i have the release date planned for the first demo. It wont be until May 30th though, but itll be very in depth and good. It wont be the full version but will feature about 1/8 of what the finished product will have. Look on my website for more info soon. I have a complete and reasonable but tight schedule to get what I want done for the first demo, once again, plz visit website for more info on the first demo.

EDIT: and some dont think i can do AI as well as im saying, but out of the next 4 1/2 months until the demo, im spending 1 month just for the fairly simple AI that will be in the demo

And like i said the demo version will only include 1/8 of the finished product, see my website for more information on the demo, and what features will and wont be in it that will be in the original game. Thanks for the encouragement.

ok, and the player will be like on fable in the sense that u influence/affect ur environment. Notice that that is the ONLY way that it will be similar to Fable. Last time i said it was similar to something everyone took it the wrong way and were all thinking i was making an MMORGP. The ONLY way it will be similar is in that the player affects the environment.
