Entry time;

Unfortunately I havent had any time to tweek/change my model this week as I was way too buisy programming a robot for a maze competition, however I'll be working on him right after this post. If I dont get the newer schweeter version in in time then the model below will have to be my entry.

P.S: Wigget's Death Star model is featured in 2 of the images in this "comic", so if this wins he can have the next compo decision thingy.

Wigget has agreed to let the entry stand

And now the model;

See Nutt.

See Nutt's Toy.

See Nutt Play. (That's a rope in his hand )

...RUN NUTT RUN!

My apologies to the mods who read this before it's posted in case you've recieved this multiple times. I'm not sure if it got sent the first few times.

Not exactly the tsarist noble I was going for, but Russian nonetheless.
A word of warning - I suck at texturing.

Also included is a video of the dagger.

Wow, all entries are really great!

For me, though, it's between Zergei, Greenlig, and Ooga Booga.
Because all three models are so great, I'm going to vote on the basis of character design.

My vote goes to Greenlig. Well done!

Coolest weapon: dark coder
Best Texture Jobs: Manic ,dark coder, Zergei
Best character for a franchise: RUCCUS
Best hero overall: Zergei

My Vote goes to Zergei

Honostly a tough choice between dark coder and Zergei. The stakes certainly are rising for these model competitions. Nice work everyone!

Yeah, we need a contest for the complete beginers, so that they aren't didsouraged by the pro models showing up here.

Off Topic: Nah, keep one competition to keep things simple. Who would dictate who a beginner modeler would be, and if there model is of beginner quality(what's beginner quality?). Hopefully more and more people will continue to enter though, I think this is one of the biggest turnouts(13 so far).

For me it was a tough choice between dark coder and Zergei, but I think I will pick Zergei because I can imagine seeing his character walking around in a game killing bad guys

Manic's looks good to, but those shorts are surprisingly white for a Gladiator

Really I think their all good, but I can only vote for one.

Its hard to figure out what to put most weight on when voting. If its the quality of the mesh, the texture and such or if one should look at design and originality.

Zergei is a good choice because of an excellent mesh and a great overall impression.. The design is good, however I feel its not really original.

Manic has got a great mesh as well and the texture job is really nice. However the design doesnt quite seem thought trough. There are also some problems with making a semi-realistic character such as this.. that is anatomical issues. And the model has a few I'm afraid.

dark coder has a nice looking mesh and texture. Its very clean and quite cool. The design does work, however it doesnt feel quite right. I'm liking the render.

As for the rest of you, the reason I didnt write anything is because these were the three I've been chosing between, or to tell the truth there was quite a few I was considering here.. so great work everyone!

As for my vote, as so many other it has to go to Zergei
For best overall design. The model process seems to have gone trough the stages needed to end up with a great overall design and mesh. Good on you.

Well I wish I could of got my entry in but the dreaded curse of work overshadowed the completion of mine, oh well next one!!

Well, what can I say, there's a nice selection of good models going on here.
Trying to decide which one to vote for has been hard for me, I've found myself having to go back a few times to look through them again, good job everyone.

My overall vote would have to be for Zergi, mesh flow looks good, modeling/texturing is nice and I could see this being the next Rpg/hack&slash hero!

Well done everyone...

@Bizar Guy, there was one aimed so that literally anybody could have won, it was the improvement contest, where you had to pick a model you have recently and remake or improve it with any new things you try or whatever ever you can do to show off that your skills are improving.

But beginners can win in these normal ones, BenDstraw has won before (if my memory is correct) remember voters don't only vote on quality, if they do, then naughty naughty (perhaps I should add voting guidelines, allowing people to have more of a chance)

Oh and no more late entries (I know its after 5:00 by 31 minutes, but I had to go to the dentist)

Quote: "remember voters don't only vote on quality, if they do, then naughty naughty"

huh? i allways vote on quality, what else can we do? predict what the mesh could have looked like if someone else made it?

edit, however if they just ripped the idea from an existing game or something then they would score less, but assuming every entry is original then the vote would be on how good it looks in the end.

Greenlig gets me vote this time round, his mesh looks like every piece has a purpose. Though I agree withthe others, extremely hard pick.

Uh, I forgot to mention that Fred and Uncle Joe voted for me....and all of their cousins as well...
