Here is my 1st attempt to apply dark physics to a program

Issues include:

Balls do not stop rolling completely
At higher speed Cue ball passes through other object even though continuous detection is selected
I intended to use the Cue to apply forces but I have not discovered a way to: position a dynamic object , apply force to the cue ball without the cue flying in the air. (as it should if no one is holding it)

I would like to thank David g for the pool ball images

All the rest of the models I created myself so please feel free to use them and any of the code as you wish.

Any advice on the creation and application of materials would be appreciated

Theres no screenshot attached!

But i did download the program, and its looking good! With a few fixes to the physics, it could be a good example of Dark Physics. Have you created a material for the felt on the table?

I hope i added the screen shot this time. If not would some one email me as they do show up on my system

I did "create" a material but i have no feel for the values associated with a material yet. If some has a working knowlede of this I would appreciate any suggestions

There needs to be something under the pockets to catch the balls from falling. It'd be really neat if you made something like leather pockets, which could sway back and forth when the balls fall in.

For catching the balls, you could just create a system pretty much similar to uk pool tables, which collets the balls. All you would need to do is model 3d tubes that lead to an area to catch the balls, and the physics would do the rest!
