'Game Dude 12' posted asking about transparency (invisible walls), so I thought I might help out and got these together.
I am supplying 1xwall segment and 1xfloor segment which should both appear invisible in game.

Please read any info supplied with the download.

Its hard to show something which is invisible but I have got two screenshots together to give you a rough idea of what they look like (?) ingame.

I hope they work for you.

Not hard exactly. Just make it pure black. But we don't ALL have MagicFPS. Nice one.

BIG Viking Games

All the necassary files are installed directly into FPSCreator into a folder called 'Invisible wall and floor' which you should see in your Editor browser in the 'Segments' section.
I always supply an uninstaller which will always be placed at the location you have found it in.

For future reference, could you please read all information which is supplied in either the 'read me' text file or which comes with the installer itself.

I hope I have helped

All the best of luck

The framerate thing you metion should not have anything to do with these segments.

BIG Viking Games
Are you running 'Vista' because the installer I have supplied was built to install to XP.
Nevertheless, I have the files you need in the download with this Post.
Please read the 'Read me' files I have provided for installation instructions.
Good luck and let me know if everything is OK.

Finally decided to try these, but all I see is white wall and floor. Looks like I have to make them myself.
Thanks anyway!

P.S. I'm using 1.07 and XP btw.

The installer "puts" them in C:\....\FPS Creator... and may be you are running windows from another partition...

My point, exactly

Ice Cube

If you look further up this post you will find another download with the files loose and 'not in an installer'. It's 6 posts above from this one.
Someone else had asked me to do this so I did.

With the installer the files are put straight into FPSCreator and just an 'uninstall' is placed (as you know) in c:program files.

Have luck

Of course I saw it. However both of them (installer and zip only) don't work for me - I see white walls only.

That's exactly what I ment in my previous post.

Anyway, that's not the point. Any idea about the white wall?

Thanks for the response, btw. I didn't expect someone to reply that soon.

Please check every folder which is included in the zip file before you try to install.
Have you read the 'Install' instructions that are included?
They should be very simple to follow.

The problem (white walls) is that you have the textures in a different place than they are addressed to which is very simple to correct.
To correct this,Just open the 'FPS' files and re-address (change) the texture field to wherever you have or want the textures to be.

Presently, they are addressed to the same folder with the 'FPS'file and icons.

Have luck

First of all, Thanks a lot for the great support!

I know all the things you've posted - how and where to place everything, how fps files and textures work... (I used to program in C++, so I am familiar with "paths" and stuff)

However, this wasn't the problem. I've checked the segments on another PC and they work great.
I've managed to make them work on this PC btw. It's a long story - Control Panel, Visual C++ Debugger... so I am not going to waste your time to share it here

The important thing is - there's no problem with your segments and they work great, so THANKS for sharing them!

I know this is a huuuuge bump *remind self to put self on noob slap..* but I'm trying to use the invisible wall and it's, well, invisible in the editor so I've no idea where it is! I'm sure when placed in the editor it used to be black. How do I make this black (visible) in the editor?

load a copy of the used texture in a graphic prog and brighten it up a bit. when readybuild, exchange textures again.

what are you up to, nicky? high activity by your side the last 2 days

Nickydude

I took a look at this issue and messed about with different transparent textures and file formats but sadly could not get the segment units to show (working) in the FPSC Editor.
If you come across a way to get them showing again could you please let us know?

All the best of luck.

It's very strange. I have an invisible Wall ENTITY which appears black in the editor - but using the very same texture on a segment makes that invisible in the editor too

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

I ended up doing the exact same thing Storyteller, I used an entity and this gave me a greater degree of control over where to place it as well.

Just for future reference here is a totally free 'InvisiWall'.

All browsers should come with compulsory spell checks.
