Instead of having to write all of that myself, has someone made a graphic interface or utility to allow drag and drop editing of a GUI - much like visual basic?

Em, Do you mean drag&drop gui in your game, or to prepare it's positons on screen?

For both of these, look at BBB Gui. There were also other GUI's, but i forgot their names . Just create your own code for drag&dropping, it isn't hard.

Yeah, I meant drag and drop for me, the developer. Do you have a link to BBB?

There is a "Forms" designer being made for BBB at the moment. Release is imminent I believe... a bit like the "Rainbow" editor for Blue GUI but newer.

That's great! Thanks. I will be programming some utilities and need a gui designer so I can place buttons and what not.

I hope it has grid snap.

Yeah I called that since that is what the project templates C++/VB are called. ("Windows Forms Application")

I plan to release the program by Friday hopefully .

I plan on adding that in the future. But it will not be done in the upcoming release of the program.

I never heard of it but it does look really good! I wish he would keep selling it. There is a another plugin called "eXtends" sold by TGC. But some GUI commands and others are currently not working for Windows 7/Vista. Freddix is trying at the moment to see if he can get them to work for Windows 7/Vista.

I have eXtends. I just want a drag and drop solution. I emailed Adromedus, so we'll see if they get back to me.

What really thrilled me about Gui Studio was the creation of sliders and knobs. I may want to create some mixer and audio programs using DB Pro and Styx (midi commands), but I would love an easy to use tool to create sliders and knobs, etc.

Is there any other tool out there like Gui Studio or does someone want to sell me their copy?

@ Admiral MH

How far have you been able to take your Forms Designer / Window Designer for BBB Gui?

a long time dabbler with DBC and DBPro with no actual talent but lots of enthusiasm...

I emailed Ric, author of GUI Studio for you as I have his direct email address. I'm not sure he'll want to resurrect GUI Studio as he moved on to other game making languages some time ago.

Well for the last month I've been busy and not had time to do any programming, but within a week I should be able to get back to it. I have a lot of ideas/features I will be adding to the program in the future.

Also with time permitting, I should have V1.1 out soon.
