Wow folks! Thanks for the huge participation.
Really!! I didn't expect that much interest in this.
Sorry for the delay though. I felt terribly sleepy after my dentist appointment of doom. ...having a man using a drill in your mouth while a women uses some sort of pipe to suck out your saliva...hmm...its an insane world and I'm proud to be part of it.
Yeah! Whatever...the results:

[quote]
Should the game have a lot of radio chat and dialogues?

[] Yes! The story and the characters are important /////////
[] No! I would rather like to keep playing without nonsense interruptions
[] Only a few extra besides the necessary! I prefer flowing first person shooter gameplay///

B: Reflex Scopes and scifigadgets on guns?

[] Add 'em! I love this stuff and the game is set far in the future anyway/////
[] No! I prefer ironsights for most weapons/
[] Only for sniper rifles and maybe few exceptions /////
[] No! I don't want you to spend so much time on that crap...get the game done!
>>okay! I mix it. <<

C: The teammembers...

[] Die during the game...muhahahahaaa ///// You guys are evil
[] One dies to increase the drama of the story////
[] Shouldnt be so important...do what you want/
[] the protagonist dies //
[] Are just sidecharacters without any real importance...dont waste your time/

D: Three levels to go that do not have any real purpose yet should I make them

[] Add action! I wanna shoot stuff and blow things up///
[] Add puzzles! I want to see some new stuff in TGC and prefer First person adventures anyway ////
[] Cut them out! The sooner you release this, the better/
[] Bossfight, anyone?////

Jupp...that means 2 levels with puzzles and a bossfight then.

E: The visuals are:

[]Good so far ////////////
[]Not yet surreal enough to go with the story...add stuff that makes no sence!!
[]Get rid of the stupid sepia!!

F: Additional Shader effects?

[] Yeah baby! I want my game to look flashy and nonfpsc'ish/
[] Only if it enhances the looks without being overdone //////////
[] No, they would hit the framerate and would most likely not run on my system/

G: Difficulty:

[]Challenging?//
[]Easy as pie... FPSC games aren't that interesting anyway
[]Hardcore! I play shooter games since kindergarten, dude!/
[]Balanced /////////

Readable documents and some audiomessages are...

[]ADD EM ADD EMM!!! ////////
[]Boring
[]okay, but dont waste too much time on that!////

I: Violence and gore?

[] No, blood effects only
[] Bring it on! ////////////
[] Nothing creepy please!

J: Outro Video?

[]Dont really care about stuff like that/
[]A short one please/////
[]Yeah! You are good at storystuff...do it /////
>>So its going to be a short one then.<<

K: Some hidden items and goodies?

[]No! this is no kids game!!
[]Makes everything more interesting////////
[]only a few! ////

L Extra artworks for loadingimages and HUD graphics?

[]No, your drawing sucks
[]Yes! I think it would give this game a lot more soul //////////
[]Only a few subtile peaces...this is no sketchbook//

Sorry I never bothered to fill out your questionnaire, I was tired.
I agree with the final outcome and I love how you've given us all so much input to the games design.
You really are a great developer.

The design phase is over, folks!! The game will have around 17 levels and I'm working on adding/polishing the gameplay now.
I'll keep throwing in some more screenshots whenever I feel like it, so! Thanks for the support so far!

I'm not sure...I will find out when I have it done But I think it will be between 1 and 2 hours of gameplay. Maybe even more

I also rig my guns to errant's animations. Sorry for everyone who was expecting me to do all of this with the stock animations. I will use these in another project, but for a game that focusses so much on firefights, Errants latest animations are simply much more intriguing(is that a word?). The guns look pretty cool too with the new hands and shader maps on them... you can almost not tell that a complete amateur made them...almost

That's because your not an amateur. You may not use the "big boy" tools like UDK, but you certainly have a STRONG understanding of game design.

Hey wolf, when you finally build the game are you going to use the visoverlay trick to increase fps? I'm just wondering but it may help for people with slower comps (I have a fast computer by the way, not that I have a slow one)

bad news everyone!

FPSCreator figured out that she could annoy me with spontaneously skyrocketing the size of my levels. I had to delete unimportant details to get them to work together with the gameplay elements. Of course: they are shorter and less detailed now. Isn't that great? No? Yeah...it really sucks.

The AI is also causing problems over problems. Yeah... I have to come up with somewhat working AI over Errants already great standarts? Why? Well... apparently people expect it from me.
The stuff I came up in Deprivation: Direct Action was already good enough for me, thats what I think about it But however: Better AI is getting forced in.

On a less negative side: I have a pretty cool model for the 2 bossfights ingame. depending on the time I have this week...they will also get their own custom weapons.

Ahmm... okay, I made a collage with a few screenshots I had in my folder so this post is less depressing:

I could say sorry to here you are having problems.but Im not surprise at all.I was waiting for this post from you.count the times I could design like this and never get it to work the way i want it. down grading your best looking work suck. just so you can get it to work right with fpsc.but i hope your work around works out for you.

This is the reason why people leave FPSCreator at a certain point.

Of course I hope you don't quit - but honestly I don't care which engine you are going to use in the long run, as long as I get to play your games

I was thinking about it like everybody else...but I do have experience with a few other engines and I know what working on a game idea on your own in any one of them would be a huge task leading to mediocre result and hours of dooooooooooom.

This game is in occasional creation for 4 months. And its about to be done. In that time doing a whole shooter on your own...well, its just not possible if I code the whole thing in a raw engine.

Quote: "Of course I hope you don't quit - but honestly I don't care which engine you are going to use in the long run, as long as I get to play your games "

Thanks for your interest in my games. I promise that the future projects will work better with the engine.

Wolf, with someone of your stature, have you ever thought of asking Lee personally about some fixes? you know your way around the engine better than a lot of people. Why not send him a detailed list of problems that a more matured developer like you are having? That might give him a nudge.

I did...sort of.

It was about the memory cap which is really the only problem I see with FPSC at this point. The answer was that due to several new features, there can't be anything done except to delete stuff from my map. I also do not believe that they would focus on FPSC with AppGameKit being so popular now.

I, however, figured out a way to improve your media, to get more stuff in your maps I shall reveal this and more in my future tutorial.

Also...any more comments on the new images?

Its Nathalies Pistol... it bases on some russian gun, but most parts are fictional. I named it PPS in the game

i would suggest retexturing either the EoTech or the Tavor for that tavor rig. the clash of different texture styles baffels me a little (A) i do really like that pistol though

@wolf: That looks like a decorated Makarov, like something a Afrikan warlord would have. A PPS is actually an old WW2 Russian sub-machine gun. The version previous to the more widely known PPSh.

Yeah, I already darkened the texture for that. I'm not going to change it anymore though. Thanks for pointing it out though.

Yeah, I have one of these in my 3D Chat Thread. I have no hud image for it yet...so lets name it SPP...a Silenced Pocket Pistol

Quote: "That looks like a decorated Makarov, like something a Afrikan warlord would have."

A Makarov is a PMM, this bases on a PSM...its like a small makarov mixed with some made up shapes here. But close (I do picture african warlords with...a raging bull, a golden desert eagle or something similar...but your idea works too less stereotypical.)

Greetings and welcome back to the next update! Already?! You might ask? Well yes... why not? I don't really have much sparetime at the moment, but it was sunday yesterday and I have a few more gunrigs to show.

The game is slowly advancing in its betastate and the release is...whenever its done. Most likely very soon.

Please note that the LAR (that rifle where there is the blue-purple screen) has no adjusted shadermaps yet. No need to point that out, thank you

Some images appear empty, but that is only because there will be teambattle and I had to save the framerate and limbo under some FPSC obstacles.

Other presented areas are still in WiP stage. The finished version will be revealed in the final product and not on screenshots. Thanks for checking by again, and please leave some comments on the images. Thank you

Update transfered to next site

Very good pics here, sorry I haven't said anything in a while, I somehow forgot to check this thread (I do that alot), but I read through and it's all looking quite nice, too bad I didn't get to participate in your voting thingything, not that it would have made much difference anyway, but who knows.

I notice you are also into gasmasks alot. Ribcages and gasmasks, you're an interesting case, Wolf.
Just kidding, ribcages are cool and gasmasks rock

Loving your art and your models, one crit though:

I looked at your tavor (I think it was the stock sci-fi tavor) that had the close combat optic on it, it looks cool and all, but maby the top of the gun could use some retexture on it, so that it would look more natural to have that cco there, so that it doesn't look like the character just jammed it through the weapon. It doesn't bother me that much, but just something I noticed

@Omegamer: thanks!

@Uziidiot: Well, I could do better but I think the gameplay is cool Its certainly better than it was in Depriavtion

@MetalDevil123: The gasmasks are a symbol of the time-fraction and also an important part of their combat gear. (They use a lot of gas in the short stories. The Gasmask does also have a build in HUD and the soldiers are exposed to mindaltering substances to keep them in control and at full concentration on the battle via the maskes. Besides that: The athmosphere of shavra is turning hostile again because the planet slowly returns to ininhabitable state...yes, there is a lot of story behind most things )

You are also the second guy that pointed out the tavor. So I guess I have to fix it even I didn't want to XD Working on it.
And thanks for the criticism...more please

How many levels have you finished so far? cos I can't wait for the release The new screen looks amazing! but I suggest adding more weapon variety, not just pistols and rifles maybe some mini gun of some sort?

17 All of them are done.

Happy to hear that! I really hope this can live up to the high expectations.
But well... if I look what some Studios Throw at us. I just installed a demo of a game named "Hard Reset". The visuals where great, it looked like a set of blade runner. But the gameplay was abysmal...it was almost nonexistant. Like a Firstpersonshooter for the psx. Games like that make me feel a lot better about myself and my own game

I keep throwing some in until I release the game

I doubt that a minigun will make it in. But it has a flamethrower

Another Update?! Well...deal with it.

You might have noticed that yesterday was the deadline. And guess what? I didn't make it. I really didn't have the time.

So, I still have to put up with writing the dialogue, sending the dialogue to the voiceactors, creating 3 more puzzles, finetuning the firefights, deleting media from maps that are too large, creating an additional level to finalize it, sound for the weapons, additional sound besides the music for the levels, some extra tunes for the loadingsscreens, the loadingscreens, interface for interactive mapobjects, the airmodsettings for the guns, additional muzzleflash effects, the introvideo, the outrovideo, the gameoverscreen...yeah! Its a lot of fun!

You wonder what I'm suddenly so busy doing? Well, taking over the world and raising up my global empire. What else?

So, before I post a few images, I need some guy with a 64bit Windows 7 system and a good computer rig and another one with windows vista (64 and 32 bit) and also a good system to beta test this thing. It is important that you have good knowledge of FPSC and that you really want to put time and effort in the testing as I need a complete list of all the flaws that you find. I only point this out so detailed because I dont need anybody that simply wants to get the game early on.
If you have any of the above requirements, please post ahead
