Good evening forumknights! Coming off from my suggestion threads, I've started to put together 3D media packs specifically aimed at AppGameKit II to help you get your games looking good! I'm going to try and release a new pack every week as time permits. Some will be free, some will be paid, but for the paid packs there will be free demo versions to go along with them. I'm still making suggestions so let me know what kind of 3D media you want for your AppGameKit games!

AGK II 3D MEDIA PACKS

PACK I: PRIMITIVES
FREE

DOWNLOAD PACK I: PRIMITIVES

[CONTENT]

* 10 3D Primitive Models in obj format w/ proper uv data and easy to read uv maps
* basic primitives include:

* gesphere + uvmap
* pyramid + uvmap
* torus + uvmap
* cone + uvmap
* skybox + uvmap

Please use this thread to add more suggestions for 3D packs and to address any issues or bugs you may run into while using the media. Thanks everyone, happy developing!

Outstanding work! These will make rapid prototyping so much easier. I'm already having fun with the skydome!

Thank you!

Good idea. I'll shoot Paul an email see what he thinks. Could be a good asset to have in the main AppGameKit II download.

Here's a sneak peak at the 2nd pack. It's a dungeon builder pack. There will be two versions, free version with low poly models and hq texture maps. Second version will be paid and will include higher poly models with sculpted high poly ao and normal map bakes.

Base models for free version:

Suggestions welcomed, thanks!

You can load shader's into AppGameKit and use the "setobjectexture" command to setup several images into different layers for the shader to use. I'm pretty sure there is a normal map shader floating around here on the forums that someone has gotten to work with AGK. I'm looking to get one working for Pack II and III, not sure if i'll use there's or if i'll get my own working. We shall see.

And I'm very curious about pack III as well!

Josh, what software do you use for 3D objects?

I like ACD3 the best, but I've also used Lightwave Modeler, True Space, Blender and Poser.
