Does anyone know how to make a crosshair for the sniper thing that comes with FPSC?

It's just I'm thinking about making some crosshair to give away to the forum. I'm quite good at photoshop, so if anyone could tell me HOW to put the crosshair onto the sniper (Instead of it's default thing that zooms in) I've already got some crosshairs but I need help for how to put them on the sniper.

Thanks, MigitMatt

But the crosshair is a DDS file. How do I convert an image file to a DDS?

Download DDS Converter 2.
Some imaging programs have a .dds plug in that will convert them for you.
I know the Gimp has one available.

If you're using photoshop, download the DIRECTXSDK, as it includes a photoshop DDS plugin, allowing you to open and save as DDS.

Kinda more usefull than a convertoer

(sorry about typos, I'm on a mac and the keyboard is kinda funky)

There are a number of free crosshair packs in this forum. Take a look at them so that don't do what's already been done. Have fun!

How bout you open one up and see for yourself? I realize your new here but please don't expect everyone to start spoon feeing you. If your dealing with custom media get off your can and figure out what your boundries are.

Im not even going to look at that in .bmp format. And if your problem is what I think it is your going to have to look up big words like "Transparency" and "hud" and "sight".
Oh my goodness!! It's just going to be this never ending learning process, where one question makes me have others, with even more terms to stuff in the search engines.....

....So is the nature of development...If we sat here and spoon fed you the answers ,we'd have to do it for everyone. The point of these forums isn't so we all can make your life easier. It's to discuss development.

You've done no research...so how can you be developing anything.

Post only .jpg or .png images here or your thread gets locked.
Most people don't have the time or patience to download .bmp files.

You have to download the .dds plug in and put it in the plug ins folder.

actually ive wondered the same thing with dds convertor 2, sometimes it says the file size needs to be in intervals of 2/4, its retarded, and then the plugin i have for photoshop, i cant export .dds with alpha channels, because only 4 channels are aloud, and only rbg mode is supported, its pretty much [mod edit] lol, but for crosshairs you dont have to have .dds you can use .png, as long as its named crosshair * i think*

apparently your png isn't square, or something...

just open it in paint and trim the edges to be an even width/height

He said he wants to make the scope view, not a regular crosshair. To get a different picture when you right click and zoom, you have to replace the one that is called scope (or scope 1 or something, i can't remember).

Good luck.
