I am making a game which I am using both model pack 5 and 6 so I used the woolen hands from model pack 5 and applied it to the model pack 6 hands. its not perfect at all but it looks closer than the others.

If you did a search, you would find that I already did that.
But I was told I couldn't post it for download?

Could have saved you a lot of work.

The hands are the same on all guns. So it will work for any of them in MP6.

We need new hands desperately!

Hands and arms should accurately be appropriate to the uniform of the character from what i've seen they certainly don't in model packs 5 and 6.

You are aware that MP5 and MP6 were made by different people right?, if the hands in both being different is what you mean

so what's the job?

@ Godrich13: He meant if your guy has a blue shirt and green gloves, the sleeves and hand will have that. If you're SWAT, then you get SWAT's hands and sleeves.

Makes no sense. You can't see a players uniform, so how would one supposedly make them fit. I've seen 2 threads active today about the M6 hands and female hands and there are absolutely no excuses.

What do you think your going to get for 20$? Try buying game media else where.

Yeah M6 screwed me too. Cause I actually liked the guns. I didn't like the M5 hands, so what it wore made not one lick of difference to me. When M6 came out I'd already made my hands but redid my custom Berletta92 with the M6 hands, rigging and textured them how I wanted them so all my weapons arms and hands were compatible. It's all work man. And more then I wanted. But tough to me.

If you can't do it yourself....tough. This isn't a Burger King. You don't get it your way. If you want custom, make it.....If not, click your self a game together.

Different hands for different uniforms? or to put it another way... if I was selling model packs I would make sure the hands looked the part, i.e. like a soldier's rather than some street punk from a hollywood film.

It's not a question of price, it is of quality and compatability. As it goes I did not buy model pack 5 or 6 they looked kind of tacky.

Hey I don;t like M5 either. I can't stand the hands. But the texture was just made so it would fit better with any game. When you start narrowing the field in which things could work stock( as most these people can't use MS paint), you start hurting sales. Whether I like them or not the M5's textured like space men wouldn't fit at all with any urban/recent game genre.

Yeah it is. When you can release 18 guns for 20$, or 80+items for 20 then you can call the shots.

Then quit complaining....Your not out anything.

Same deal as people that don't vote....If you don't you can't really complain about the government...If your not buying the packs....Whats the point in opening your mouth?

To breath air? Seriously, it was in the hope to inspire someone who can model really good hands to do just that and sell them of course, not all in life can be free.

Best hands I've seen so far are on the Beretta Elite model.

I like Jons work as well...I don't like his animations, but I like his modeling.....The thumb dose this odd snake charmer deal that irritates me. It's like the player has a nervous tick....

The best guns by far is going to be errants pack when it released(Jon fashioned his hands after Errants). Just talked to him and he's got like 30 guns ready with over 100 entities. But they wont be free like Jons.
Edit: In His words-

Quote: "There's about 30 weapoms I have FPSC ready so far and have made pickups for. The bloated number is for all the ammo entities. For each weapon, I have about three or four different ones for picking up one, two or three/four magazines and then I have some sort of bulk container that can be picked up to give a dozen or whatever magazines worth of ammo in a polycount friendly manner. I've been taking the time to carefully lay stuff on their sides in a pleasing manner so that they aren't just cocked 90 deggrees with half the weapon sticking through the floor or whatever. The last several weapons I've added have been to round the pack out so that there's a bit more variety. I've even started some alternate arm/hand maps including some femenine looking ones."

Errant has no internet access at the moment. Not sure where he went when I got that message, but he said he can't take the dial up. He'll probably be around in the next month I'd believe. He moved from Cali to Or, so he's taking this off line time to tweek his packs.

OK thanks Locrian, I guess there's no hurry anyway, still got lots to do, I'm composing a heavy rock track at the moment for my game.
