Well Lets start this again, what am I using, so I to be clear of what I got:
MS Visual C vr 7.1, Dark Game DGK, Wings 3d, Caligari Gamespace 1.6 and Neopaint (good little paint program).
For starters I hope this is the correct forum as my last one was a bit to far off topic as realated to me below:

APEXnow: Timidon, two problems regarding this thread. First of all, it's more related to modelling, therefore it should be posted in the correct forum. Also, you refer to Caligari Game Space. This forum is for users of DarkGDK and DarkGDK.NET.
I have locked this thread for now, so can you please post in the appropriate forum, thank you.

So I moved it here! and added more explination on what I am trying to get out of the community.
Back to the question:
Well, I have not posted for a while, like many others I have been wrapped up in other projects. I am nearing a stage where I need to ask a couple of questions that cross a bit of Modeling and Coding. I will be happy if I can be pointed in the right direction.
I have been learning to model, here's one of my first models a little star fighter, forged with Wings3d and textured with Caligari Gamespace.
and a screeny from a game shot.
Now I am about to work on "attaching" a missile on the underside of the wing. I plan on having it show up on the screen with the model, when it's fired off it it's removed.
So I am looking at, how do I make or code in a node to the "fighter" model to attacth another model, the "missile". Plan on using something similar for "turrets" on larger ships. So I am thinking this maybe similar to attaching a "gun" model to a human model. Is this the part where I need to work on creating a "skeleton"?
I see a bunch of commands lilke "dbGlueObjectToLimb", My simple models (like the star fighter) have no limbs to glue to.. I don't plan on having much for "animation" at this time. I just wondering how to attach another model to a model. I thinking this is a 2 step process. I am thinking that the model (starfighter) has to have a "limb" to attach another model (the missile) to, this is done in the Modeling Program (Caligar for example) and then in code (attach the missile in real time) for the display.
Not 100% for sure. Looking for some pointers.
