Hello. I have recently gotten into modeling and texturing so I am making a thread for my up and coming model pack. What I would like are as many suggestions as you can give me for simple things you need. I am not a great modeler, so no requests like "i want an awesome gun make it please thanks," as I cannot model weapons or characters. Also I will be releasing this for free . PLEASE REFER TO THIS POST FOR THE LIST, I WILL NOT REPOST IT.

= Done
= In Progress
= Idea
= Cancelled

CURRENT MODEL LIST

Circle Table 95% (Retexturing)
Stone Pillar 75% (Texturing)
Wooden Crate 75% (Texturing)
Toy House 75% (Texturing)
Brick Chimney 0%

Try this again when you have something to show (make sure it's in FPSC when you do). There are plenty of these "what do you want in a model pack" threads around here, where you can draw inspiration from. These types of threads will be coming to a close as well.

that box is default with entity maker. And the desk doesn't look like a good model even if it was retextured.

No I made the box myself... those were my first models from a little while ago. Does anyone even want to get more entities?

uhm...Where to start? ok I think I'll start with the texturing job.

It needs work, alot of work. You should really read more tutorials about texturing..remember google has your back! The actual models themselves, pretty generic, it's not necessarily a bad thing but it's not a good thing, you can garantee low poly but you can not garantee veriety.

@jordmans-Please refrain from passing judgment on another person based on what he says, Drapes#10 is actually in the right footing with what he said....this is very sub-par model pack...

Once again I wish people would have there stuff previewed by people they trusted before they post it.......

That's how I roll and it has worked for me, you to can be apart of the GIJOE fan club.....

Regards,
RF

sorry if I sounded offending. The box looks good if you did it yourself. But I don't like the desk sorry.

@jordmans-I may be a noob to the forum but I've been using fpsc since it came out (not the EA version).

Thanks guys for the encouragement. I retextured it with wood workshop but I can't figure out how to make it look like an actual crate.. pic attached.

@jordmans
Yes these are my first models. I'm working on the toy house, and it's my best model yet. Chimney included! Pic in next post..

When you are applying the texture you are applying i to the whole model as one. You need oto break it down in the uvmap and then use the marquee tool in the photoediting program that you use. you need to indavidually set the texture for all six sides and the top and bottom extrusions. also you might want to google the word crate....

RF

for starting its not bad models, try adding to the desk by cutting and bridging a gap for a chair into it. as for texturing, there are hundreds of tuts around on that. shame about the house mesh, could do with something like that, could add alot of believabilty to a game a small thing such as a doll/toy house.

offtopic: i believe everyone means the term 'newb' not 'noob' as noob is more offensive imo and should only be said for noob slapping.

best of the rest!

Newb is short for newbie. Newbie sounds less offending than n00bee
