I suggest using the October 2006 DirectX SDK from - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=D625324C-59B4-4951-849E-640B508DC442&displaylang=en

And obtain the Platform SDK from - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=E15438AC-60BE-41BD-AA14-7F1E0F19CA0D&displaylang=en

Also ensure you are using the latest version of the GDK from 10/2/07.

I don't need the platform sdk, I have the full visual studio 2005 pro, not the express. I'll download october and see if what i need is in there.

I applied the patch update prior to trying to compile.
I'll let you know how it goes.

All of the DirectShow components ( which the GDK relies on ) have been moved into the Platform SDK and away from the DirectX SDK. I would still recommend having this installed regardless of which VS 2005 you are using.

Well, I downloaded and installed the platform sdk then inlucded its include and lib folder then compiled, works. Other than the two warnings, but I don't care about them at the moment, you covered them in another thread.

Now off to do some testing that I have in mind.
