Hello, I was wondering if there's a program out there that will easily take an animated .x model and scale it and then be able to export directly out to with all the animations intact. I'll still be doing some more searching later but if anyone has ever needed to do this and can tell me how to do it easily I'd very much appreciate it.

P.S. I can't solve the problem by scaling it in dbc/p because It needs to be scaled for fpsc. So if anyone knows any way to do this in fpsc that would help too.

if you have the current working file of the model on your computer in your preferred 3d package, re export it with a larger scale.

Hi crazy and thanks for trying to help.

If someone Tells you to scale it in FPSC don't just do that as It creates so many colision problems,We on the FPSC boards have figured it has to be scaled correctly in the Modeling prog.

If you can't find a way then don't worry, I just liked the little guy.

I thought you could scale it in the Panda Exporter?

Crazy, I thought you used Maya, surely you could just import it and shrink it, then re-export, or doesn't it keep the animation data?

Either that, or Milkshape 3D, I believe (may need backing up) that it may keep animation data in an import.

[edit]

Or load it into DBP, scale it, then use a code to re-save the model.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I can't find the actual finished .mb (maya binary) file and I have troubles with exporting to x anyway. I'll be trying all those ideas and don't worry tyrano man, I've actually been thinking about making some fpsc models so I need to get some experience. Once again, thanks guys

if you get really stuck and the x file is in ascii, open it up and look for the component that defines the scale of the object, and change it in notepad, if thats even possible

tyrano- It's not too much stress. I enjoy this stuff. Hey, if you'd want to help me out maybe you could be my tester when I get around to making fpsc models? Since I don't actually have the program I'm definitely going to need someone to make sure it works before giving anything out.

indi- Whoa dude. It opened up alright I never noticed how complex a model is. I didn't find anything about the scale but it was crazy just looking at all the code that goes into it

I encourage everyone to open up a .x file in notepad. It's... humbling.

Yer open them alot, easy way to change the models texture.

If you need anything in FPSC, Just give me the .X, the texture, and the animation frames (if applicaple).

Then i'll make it an FPE and also script it
Adding your msn adress now

EDIT: you don't have MSN... You should just remove that.
