The question above. What I mean by stuffing up is that it says that there is a run-time error. DB also stuffs up but not the way DBP does. DB's graphics go wonky when it is done.

I know that to go over this problem is to disable the windows-returning features but that would only frustrate the game player and I dont want that.

So is this 'bug' fixable? Its probably hard since it was not fixed in DB. It may be hard but the programmers of DB should do it. But thats only in my opinion.

Oh, theres one more thing I want to say. Even when you and made it to an executable and you do that windows-returning thingy, it still has a run-time error I think.

Cant say the Alt+ESC/ALT+TAB shows any problems here - the graphics return back to normal...

Oh, and I dont get any run-time errors - sounds like a problem with your system...

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...

Thought it was ctrl+esc? May sound dumb, and probably won't do my intellect any justice; but what does alt+esc do?

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

I have never had problems with this.

Alt-tab = Switch programs
Alt-Escape = Inactivate window (and pops office toolbar on mine)
Cntrl-Escape = Bring up start menu; like flag button

I use two monitors, and if i "accidentally" click on the other monitor, i cannot return to my program. when i click on it on the start bar it says Cannot find object or something, even though there is no such reason for the error.

"But we couldn't do that Mr Flibble," questioned Rimmer. "Who'd clean up the mess?"

I think it depends on the mode you compile your game.
I notices it "Stuffs up" when you have it in Fullscreen Exclusive mode but not in windows mode.
I am not sure the reason but I think it has to do with the graphic cards memory getting flushed when alt tabbing, and therefore objects don't exist anymore and then when you alt tab back it gets stuffed

think there a screen invalid() command, you could check that to refresh the screen resolution if nessecary

"Oh, and I dont get any run-time errors - sounds like a problem with your system..."

I have actually had that happen with one or two retro entries that I downloaded (made in DBP) - Super Kario for example. However, I have not been able to reproduce the effect with my own code, so it might be quite hard to fix. The bug has to be pinpointed much more precisely.

So does that mean that the same source code can be converted to two difference executables ??

No. It is just that DBP or the editor itself adds a SET DISPLAY MODE command in before the program is compiled if you select a certain screen mode in the editor.
