Hi, i don't know if this is a known bug, but when you run a DBP program in a machine with directx less than 8, it turns all your windows colors black.(text, background and even the normally gray window-background) It's hard to even restart the computer when you cannot see any texts or buttons... What i know the problem can only be solved by restarting the computer. I have directx9a and my programs run great.

DBPro only supports DX 8.1 or higher.

And with patch 5, it'll need 9 or higher.

That's how it is with almost all 3d and many 2d games-- on CDs, they package the DX version with them that you need. Downloadable ones tend to just state that it's required.

Any game i have played wich doesn't support less than dx8,doesn't change windows colors to black, and if i remember correctly, one machine with 8.1 also crashed the same way...

The bug effects will change depending on what the program is doing...

You want every feature of 8.1? Or every feature of DBPro with some new ones made possible by 9.0.

I agree there's things I would like to see in DBPro that still arn't in, but there's no reason why DBPro going to Dx9 should delay the implementation of promised features - if anything it should help expediate some.

mouse that dx9 statment is not concrete yet.
DBS will inform us tho if the upgrade is required.
