I have seen banners and links at the bottom of peoples posts that tell about model packs, or FPSC ready scenery etc. that they have for sale. I have been a part of this communnity for a few months but never knew about some of these other resources that I see at the bottom of these posts and would be willing to buy their products if I knew where they were made available. I was thinking that people who have FPSC related and ready products that can be used for free or for sale could benefit form making these FPSC services aware here in a simple thread, instead of having to look everywhere for it. Especially since Nano Games has displayed that you can sell a game with stock media, I am sure now that FPSC users would be more thne willing to not only buy media but also use resources that are available to them. So anyone who has products whether they are free or cost money, please feel free to post it here in this thread so that we canall benefit from what you have to offer. Lets try to post resources that do not infringe on copyrights or are stealing other peoples work. Also, lets try to keep the posts to media that can be used for commercial use and not private use, as many people are trying to create games that they can sell. I know that I would not want to buy any media that I cannot use in a commercial project.

I appreciate everyones time and effort.

Thanks for the plug, Fred. As he said, just click the link below for FREE FPSC content and resources.

This is actually a bump, as I'm afraid this post will be buried quickly. The problem is that people won't search and continue to ask for content in new threads. It's easier for them and more fun to just start a new thread. (the nature of the beast)

fpsFREE.com will continue to host any (almost) content and resources provided by the creator, if they will let me know to post it. Many of the content creators here prohibit distribution of their creations so they will have to posted to the forums. Some of the creators have given me standing permission to post their content and for that we are all appreciative. As for others, whether they add it to this post or begin a new one remains to be seen.

fpsFREE.com will have a short downtime near the end of the month as it is moved over to the new T-1 connection. Not to worry, we will keep it as short as possible and service will be better for it.

Post your resources here people!

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Hopefully we can get some more resource posts for the many new users who have been asking questions in here. But, I am sure that eventually this thread will disappear since Xplosys is right.

I've made up my mind to create the "sticky of all stickies" for the FPSC Chat board. It will include all known sites, that contain free/pay content related to FPSC; as well as the "must have" applications, such as: Signs, Magic FPS, ECSPro, Vishnu, etc.

The applications will have a small graphic above their description (which will be clickable), and the sites may have a small graphic as well (such as a logo), next to their entry. This will be locked and stickied, and I will make amendments from time to time. It won't have every FPSC website under the sun, and I may list certain criteria for your's to be included (such as having more than 1 free segment on your site, for example).

I just have to come up with a thread name that grabs people's attention....

Don't we have a link to resources in a sticky in the models and media forum?
Although that thread would probably need some major updating.
And somebody would have to go through all the new stuff and post all of the resources and media that isn't on that yet and combine them.
Looks like Keith volunteered...
All kidding aside...I am sure that we can come up with something.
How about this for a thread title...
READ THIS OR ELSE!!!!!
I can think of a few really good titles to catrch someone's eye...but they don't fall within the AUP guidelines.

Goo idea Keith. Maybe you should make it that you have to be an active member of the forum for so long. I have seen people join and on the same day say they are offering some great stuff. Also maybe a code of ethics so that if someone is ripped off, the if the seller does not try to fix the problem they would be removed from the list. Maybe this will motivate people to devleop more add ons for FPSC especially for the new version coming out.

How about somehting like the FPSC Network, Ultimate FPSC Guide, The Official FPSC Resource, Validated FPSC Resources or something showing that the resource thread has valid people and is monitored to keep away people intending fraud.

Anyone else have ideas? If so, feel free to post them.

TGC has a policy on third party software.Basically, they are not liable for any third party tansactions.
It's basically common sense...just like you would use when you buy anything off the web.
If there is an issue with someone committing fraud while selling their products they will not be allowed to sell them on the TGC forums anymore and whatever moderation is necessary will occur.
To my knowledge we have only had one fourm member sell third party software and rip people off and he and his software are no longer allowed.
After you have been around a few you get the idea of who you want to buy stuff from.
I as well as the other mods will do everything we can to prevent someone from committing fraud on these forums.

judging by the two screenshots you show, I'm more impressed by the intro to your site. the quality is not that great on the pack, judging by the screenshots.

It takes forever for that site to load and I have high speed DSL.
If you plan on selling that pack you might want to provide more than two screenies.
I think we need to have two separate areas in the sticky...one for the free stuff and one for stuff you have to pay for.
That way nobody gets confused on which is which.
