Hey, I'm relatively new to FPS creator and I am having a small problem.

I feel like i have most of the application figured out now, and many of my levels are coming out really well, but i have an issue with doors.

It seems that when i place connecting rooms, it always removes the wall between them. If i go into Wall Mode using segments, i can paint the walls back in. Unfortunately, if i place door segments on these re-drawn walls they dont work in game. It ends up happening that if you open the door, there is just a wall right behind it. I keep having to resort to placing down Prefabs with doors already in them and then erasing all but the door. This restricts me from picking doors i want to use often. If i place a door between rooms without adding a wall, the door just looks like it is floating in space.

Is there a way to place new doors and keep walls intact between rooms without having blockage problems? I want to have working doors without having them "floating in space".

I have downloaded a few tutorial PDFs, but none that i have found seem to address this issue. Is it something simple i just overlooked?

Please help me out if you know the solution. I would greatly appreciate it.

If you are using the "wall large" segment, then that is your problem. The "wall large" and "wall small" cannot have openings cut through them. Use another segment.

If you already are using another segment, then I don't know because it sounds like you are doing things correctly.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

If you download my concrete pack you will find a room segment which you can fit windows and doors to.
