@Owen:
Thank you. I was mainly inspired by the Jason movies in making the hockey mask.

@Jemkins:
Thanks for the praise, Its so blurry becauese I had to shrink the images down. The machete texture looks better ingame, but i'm going to change it, since it's to grey for my liking.

darimc: If you save them right, they wont blurry.

JPG format is better than PNG and GIF, BMP has best of all but takes a lot of resources.

I didn't like my old Machete texture, so I redid it.

My understanding is that when you change a .jpg image you lose more of the data from the image than you do if you use a .png image.

png is much better than jpg. And jpg doesn't make things THAT blurry. But he did resize it so that does make it blurry too.

I have just recently finished another model, the chainsaw.
So here is an image update.
The texture need some work, though. I will keep updating after I make a model.

The GIF format only supports a palette with 256 colors while JPG's palette supports 16 million colors. This means that the colors you choose may not be the final color you see after saving in the GIF format unless you picked your color from the GIF palette of 256 colors. Your image editor will "blur" the color to approximate the nearest color it has in it's palette this means that unless you make it in a good quality it will be blurred just because JPG supports so many colors!

The reason GIF is sharp, is because it has lack of colors.

Please add this to my other image post thanks!

Looks good, but be wary of putting copyrighted names/logos on your entities (like the chainsaw).

@Bronny:
Thank you for that bit of info, It's quite useful for saving pictures. Oh, what do you mean by your question? "Please add this to my other image post thanks!" Just wondering.

@Trinity Pictures:
Thank you for the offer, but I would like to make this pack myself, to show people I am capable of finishing things by myself.
Do you know of any good texturing tutorials, though?

@KeithC: Thank you, don't worry, i'll remove the logo before I release the pack.

@i want to game: As of now they are just static entities, but they could be weapons in the near future...

@Oleg: Don't worry, it's not an overlay. I remember saying that my texturing on the chainsaw wasn't great, So I turned it so it was facing in a way that looked good so you didn't see the big smear mess of poo on the top and bottom. The white on the handle is where I didn't fit the texture on all the way, so technically I am still working on the chainsaw, even though the model is done.
I have attached some a picture collage of the model in Milkshape to show you.

There's only one answer to this,show a screenshot of the wireframe and the model in game with shadows.
I do however find it difficult to believe that you can model and texture like this,but find it difficult to post a good screenshot.

@Rolfy:
Can do, look at the attached picture. I don't have the full version of FPSC right at this time, since I recently got a new computer, so I can't do shadows, but I did provide a view of the model in a 3d perspective, and included a screen of the wireframe.
That first screenshot I in my 1st chainsaw post did look pretty good to me, but OLEG thinks I'm faking my models or something of the sort (Maybe he wants to press me to release it, I don't know). So I took some Milkshape screenies. I know how to model though.
I hope this proof was good enough, as I would like to get back to my model pack work.

@OLEG:
Gotta ask you one question. If I just released six other models for free in the other thread, why would I want to screw up my reputation by faking a model, when I am perfectly capable of making it myself, as you can see. I have included proof, so you can not say that I didn't make it. If this proof is not good enough, I can and will release the chainsaw mesh on here, all just for the sake of getting my model pack done without any issues.

Thank you for the screenie.
Everything looks kosher to me,nice model
I wouldn't release anything I didn't want to,nuff' said.
best rolfy.

EDIT:BTW,your screenshot is a lot better,make it a little smaller tho',I find that reducing to around 500-600px works fine,for the sake of those on dial-up.
You will find that most folks like a little wear and tear in their models,I would grunge that texture up a bit.

Postal: I made a big post why JPG is better than GIF and PNG.

But the post didn't get accepted, due to it probably being offensive and I wrote there was something to Jenkins that if you save your images in Photoshop instead of Paint that they should turn out better as JPG, but that if it still didn't show up good than its something wrong with his Computer.

Anyhow the post sounded offensive, so it basically got removed

I would not release anything until I was ready to.
Getting in a hurry is not ever a good idea...especially when working with game media.Release it when you are ready.
Not only will you be more proud of releasing your best work but we will be more content with the quality of it.

@Rolfy:
Thank you, I won't release it until I release the pack. I will make the screeny smaller next time, and also add some blood and rust to the chainsaw texture.

@Bronny:
Ok, I see. Thanks for explaining.

@FredP:
Everything still need a lot of work, so I won't release the pack until I am done. (Makes sense, doesn't it?)
I'm thinking that i'll probably make animated weapons from the weapons I am including in ths pack, sometime in the near future. I'll also retexture most everything better.

@Everyone:
By the way, I havn't been checking items off of the list because I can't edit my messages yet. Also, I have another update for you all: A possesed halloween pumpkin

@OLEG:
It's alright. I'm sorry for accusing you of pressuring me to release the model ahead of time. Thank you.

@tyrano man:
thank you for the comments. I will most likely make these weapons sometimes. Maybe even the evil pumpkin as an explosive or something.

@Everyone:
I have another update: A police baton (Nighstick) The texture was a bit plain so I added the grip on the handle. I actually still think it is a bit too plain so i'll probably add some blood or dirt to it or something:

Not bad for some first models. A Keith pointed out, you may wanna watch the copyright infringement on some of those textures before you actually "release" the items.

The chain saw isn't a bad shape, looks good, but the fact you did planar UV mapping on it shows you need some work to get your models really up to par for most people on the forum. The textures streaking from one side to another always looks horrid.

Continued advancement in your craft,
Loc

@Seth Black:
Thanks much. I am looking forward to releasing it.

@Locrian:
Thank you. I'll be changing most of the textures, so I'll be making the copyrighted things disappear. I need some advice: do you think I sould attempt to draw my own textures, or use ones from images of items already out on the net? The reason the chainsaw texture sucks is because I only had one picture of one side to texture with. Now this would be fine if it were a simple item, such as a baseball bat or an axe, but since it was a chainsaw with a lot of dimensions, it looks like poo.
I'll read some tutorials to keep me advancing.

I'm working on a Max Payne 2 mod as well as this model pack so I would just like to say I will update when I have the rest of my models finished. I will get this pack done, but it will be in a week or two before I release it.

@Everyone who has posted: Thank you all. Don't worry, I'm still alive. I have been reeeallly hella busy, for the last week 1/2.
I've been doing things other than FPSC (Such as playing, The Punisher, Postal 2 and making A Max Payne 2 mod.) and was gone last weekend into the United States. I have also encountered a serious disorder this weekend called StupidAIgraphiclagintoleranceosis (Broken down: Stupid- AI- graphic- lag- intolerance- osis), which is basically a deadly disorder that inflicts one after playing the game Prey, and then playing an FPSC made game, which is why i'm glad that X10 will be released soon.
Anyways, I'm going to get right back onto doing this pack.
-regards,
Postal

@BIG Viking Games:
Sure thing,
I would love to have your wonderful mighty torch of golden polygon-ness in my pack. Thank you.

@ BIG VIking Games:
OK, thanks much.

@Maxi Studio:
Maybe you could start a thread entitled The Picture Wars: JPG Vs. PNG Vs. GIF, LOL
I personally like 24 bit jpg. pictures but I understand why most of you probably like .png better since it comes out smoother, and the image does not lose quality if saved again.
Oh just in case someone was wondering, Jpeg. stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group, GIF stand for Graphics Interchange Format, and PNG stands for Portable Network Graphics.
