hey does anyone know of a tool in blender that lets you see how many polys your model has? thanks in advance

it's the "Fa:" one..

sorry venge but that doesn't exactly help. Faces consist of either triangles or rectangles

triangles are made of 1 polygon
sqaures are made of 2 triangles, which is 2 polygons

well not all faces are the same shape. thanks for helping anyways

Faces means polys.
You asked for a poly count, not a triangle count.

Select your model, go into edit mode and press 'a' to select all vertices, then press CTRL-T to convert to triangles. This will give you the triangle count in the fa: field.

You can then just press 'U' to undo the triangle conversion and return to quads.

Not ideal but it works.

ty cloggy thats very useful it gave the same poly count as DBP so it must work
