Oh brother! I guess the Republicaness is showing out of me. First of all I USED IT IN A DIFFERENT CONTEXT!!!!!!! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOMOSEXUALITY. Second- Well there is no second.

You last screeny looks really good!!! I do have a question though. It seems in almost all of your screenies you have cut off the FPS. How well is the FPS in your game?

Well, I don't look at the FPS often, but it's around 25-33, and it lags in some parts.

I need some ideas for the skyscraper, though. Should it have offices? Research areas? I'm thinking of an area similar to the CIA building in Splinter Cell.

American Infantry, did you download those pirated copies of fpsc model packs? Because you said you couldn't buy them and that you're dad didn't want you to have them either, so how have you got them?

No, I bought them legally. My dad said that they can be ordered for my birthday.

The skyscraper's an office, but isn't it possible to just copy a cubicle, and paste it somewhere else?

OK gang, new update. This time on weapons. Cool, eh?

Here's the list of weapons:
AT9mm: Glock 18C
Ingram: MAC10 Ingram
MP5K: MP5K
G3: HK G3A3
M79 (Timed and Impact): M79 Grenade Launcher
LMG23: HK21E
MGS90: HK G3A3ZF*
Shorty: Franchi SPAS12 Cut-off
Sporting 12: Browning Trap Shotgun

*: ZF is a German-made scope that can be put on any gun which can allow that feature.

That's the update I have for now. Stay tuned for some more Infantry Division, brought to you by 9mm Studios!

You can't use that name, I already had plans to use 9mm Studios, use something else, you know you will change it anyway...

P.S. Nice list of weapons, maybe too much variety though.

How about .50 Calibre Studios? Or Paratroops of Gaming? I like the latter one, so I'll stick with it.

I was joking to see your reaction ...feel free to use 9mm Studios or whatever you want to use mate.

By the way, a lot of people here don't seem to be aware that unless a name is trade marked then legally anyone can use it unless you're Chinese, they don't seem to recognise intellectual or legal ownerships of anyone...

Well, if I want to hold a copyright to 9mm Studios, then I'll have to deal with legal crap. And I'm only ##.
But I'm using it.
Also, the game has CLASSES of enemies. Here they are:

Paratrooper (tommy and officer) Technically, the weakest and most common of IDLiP's bag o' enemies.
Soldier (US Marine) Uncommon, these guys are slightly stronger than the Para's.
Elite (Wehrmact) Very strong and rare, these guys can be found in later levels.
Commander (SS Officer) These men are seen commanding squads of Para's and Soldiers.

This game'll have 11, that's right, 11 levels. Stay tuned!

Well it was just a tip, because a lot of people have bought those model packs, and most games made with them and the stock media just look the same. I can't be bothered reading 3 pages to see if you've already answered this, but are you planning to sell? If you are, you really need some custom media, because people want something special, not something that just uses model packs. If you aren't that's fine, but don't be afraid to try and retexture some things or make a few custom signs.

The last screeny looked good

A.I. you are aware that the Germans were fighting the British and Americans yes?

Inccidentally I would say that Airborne troops are more elite than 'most' of the U.S.M.C. in real life, unless you are talking about individuals that have taken specialist courses and cross-trained.

That's a shame because you are good at level design but leaving it up to the players to use their imagination might be a problem, they might have difficulty visualizing the U.S.M.C. as being European for example.

I suppose the easy solution would be to make all krauts as being the enemy, hey it worked in the first and second world war

Funny.

Imagination is the key; without it, you can't build a decent game, and without a gamer having it, games won't be fun.

This is my last post for today, so still still stay tuned! Use my advice; you'll live a long and fruitful life. Just get some apples!

Agreed but I think people playing your game might find your imagination confusing unless they submit to a Vulcan mind meld... up to you though.

Thanks for the tip about apples at your age how do you know for sure that apples promote longevity? As it goes I try to eat one a day.

OK, brand-new updates for IDLiP!

Enemy bodies dissapear, weapons can't be picked up.
Game will now have 15 levels; multiplayer still undecided.
Unique level layouts: more than 1 path to get to an objective, many stealth and run 'n' guns scenes, and some levels situated in a sniper spot.
Will try to set weapon max ammo limit, for example, a pistol's max ammo would be 17\170.

Game's final features:

Unique level layouts present the player with open opportunities.
Stealth or guns a-blazing? You decide the path!
A deadly arsenal: Pistols, SMG's, rifles, shotguns, and more.
15 single-player missions give you a replay value; go back and play again!

I'll hold a small poll about multiplayer. If you want it, say Aye, if not, Nay.

Here's the story:

July 3, 2005
After a bombimg from General Faeo of the Greek Army, the Border Conflict comes to a close. Croatia's military forms a group of mercenaries, known as the Nation's Power. The NP has launched several successful attacks on the USA to gain control of the country, and to overthrow President Bush. US spies, soldiers, and operatives sneak into Croatia to find out their secrets, but failed. You were one of them. They either got executed, hanged, or imprisoned. You were one of the lucky ones who got imprisoned. Due to many pleas, and you may thank me for this, I am reverting the name to Failure to Cooperate: The Lucky Ones. FtC:TLO will be based in Croatia, and I'm currently deciding on MP, and some voice-over. I'll post a thread in FPSC Product Chat soon.

You play as PFC. George Baker, a 'lucky' spy. This game'll be similar to Splinter Cell, but the opposite. Sure, you can sneak around, but you can also run 'n' gun.

Enjoy the update, and watch out for more screens. And also, look for a thread in the Product Chat called "Failure to Cooperate voice-work".

Quote: "I had just moved to the United States from Finland. There was a "civil war" going on there. A war between rioters, civillians, police officers, prisoners, and the Army/National Guard. Right away, I recognized some weapons from my homeland's army: G3A3, MSG90, and the Glock 18C. Some I didn't recognize, like a weird, shotgun-looking thing they called an M79, and this automatic-pistol called an Ingram. Sitting there, in the dark room in Ellis Island, an immigrant from Italy, Gianno Pietiani, asked me to join his group of militia soldiers made to stop this war. Agreeing to his offer, he gave me a Glock 18C, and he ran out. Standing there, I looked at my gun, and decided......it was time to fight!! My name is Khormate Rhiythke, and I'm a Freedom Fighter."

I thought that was the story?

Anyways I like your game, it does look good and has some nice shading.
As for the lag, did you try to make some media static? That gives fpsc less calculations to do. I think.

Thanks.

I'll use Main: cover.fpi and Shoot: cover.fpi

Remember--some of these levels are just sets for the lights and objects, it's like the plays you had in 2nd grade; you'll use different sets, lights, and objects.

Umm.....promotional pic=image that promotes your game, like a logo or something.

Anyway, C&C for your latest screenshot:
1.The sandbags look kinda out of place.
2.Lightmaps, entitys, and segments look sweet.

NAME CHANGE: I am now taking out the name and the story for (insert name here). As this is a WIP, I've got too much going on, what with school, and Easter coming up, and...grrrr! I'll make a new thread, as this one's a dud, and have some name suggestions. The only thing I can tell y'all is that you're a spec-ops soldier.

AI, some tips

1. Sit down with a cuppa and have a good think about your storyline. Finalise it before you begin to share it, otherwise people will get annoyed (As they already have :/). Don't just post the first idea that comes into your head. Make sure your happy with it and stay with it

2. Don't make another thread.

3. Games looking good, but all the levels look the same so far :s Could you add a bit of variety into the levels?

Also, so far you have:

Warehouse
Tunnels
Hospital
Skyscraper

All in the first level. If your keeping with that, isn't it going to lag alot :s

Btw, game looks ace.

Meh...
