Hi

Since yesterday (after reinstall) every single DBPro prog I run tries to access the internet through my firewall.

And it makes no difference if I compiled them myself or if they came compiled with DBPro Tutorials.

Anyone got a clue?

Probably because DirectPlay is always activated in DirectX.
Does it really matter ?

I think it does really, I had two reports of my Jetpac game trying to acess the net and when dealing with users outside of the DB community it's hard to say 'I dont really know what it is doing'.

If you install a proxy server program such as 'net now' or 'winproxy' you can view logs that tell you what is being requested through it.

My understanding is that DBPro is trying to initialize DirectPlay. Being able to turn that off in code would be nice; not having to load DirectPlay for a game that isn't going to use it might save some resources.
