I just made some normal maps for one of my segments, and I followed the tutorial for applying them from the Segment Editor, but when I build game, this is what I get (this is one of the walls):

Not quite sure what this means. Can anybody help?

I wasn't sure what to do for the diffuse map, so I just copied the _D2 file and renamed it _D. Is there a way that you're supposed to make diffuse maps? And is a specular map required? How do you make them?

Turn the shaders off in the build setting and see if it happens again. I wish I can get that for one room, that looks creepy...

You know, I don't know a thing about shaders, but I am really interested in them. How do you make shaders? (That purplish thingy image that ends in D2?) And, how do you apply them?

Because I want to Bump Map some bricks to make them visually pop out at the player. Similiar to Call of Duty 3 .

I just rented Call of duty 3.
Weird.
Like cosmic 'deja vu' etc.
Lol, that episode of monty python flying circus with deja vu....

Rambling.
ANYway, shaders don't work on my computer either, it always messes the texture up.

FPSC doesn't support bump maps.

They are called "normal maps". These are actually called Gun_N (if its for a weapon for example.) This is done using this filter for Photoshop.

Inspire, try making the normal map with this filter (If using PS), and save it with _N at the end (Dont know if it will work - should do, since it works on weapons.)

Yeah dude, I have the shaders all done already. I bring them into the segment editor, looking gorgeous, save them from the editor (following the tutorial) and when I test out my game the segment looks like that screen (walls [i]and[i] floors).

Argh, im not sure, sorry.
I never used Segment editor - I was never keen on the game creating side of FPSC - I just enjoy making content. I only ever used Signs, to creature standard segments

Do the segments work, when you dont put shaders around the level? (This would be due to a problem concerning darklights - the new light system in FPSC)

What do you mean? The segments are there, except the texture is screwed up.

No, I mean when you turn the shaders off, do the textures appear normally (Just without the effects)

Yeah, it'll be an error with Darkloghts (I'm guessing.)
If I were you, id drop Lee an email, since its something i think he'll want to fix - Its a fairly simple feature.
Hope everything turns out okay

Thanks Tyler GS.
