hi, ive searched google but havent found any good blueprints of oil rigs...
its for a new game and i cant make it without good resources...

prefferably from big oil rigs.. or real life pictures r also good

Can I suggest that you watch the movie Armageddon, the one with Affleck and Bruce Willis. The start of that movie has a lot of detail of an oilrig, but surprisingly it's fairly accurate, even the way they use the equipment is fairly accurate. I used to be an oiltool project engineer, there is some amazing looking stuff on oilrigs, and it mostly sounds cool too.

Look up:

Spider elevators
Latch locks
Iron Roughnecks

But again I think you'd get a fairly good representation just by watching the first 15 minutes of Armageddon, the scale is important so all that footage would come in handy.

I hate it too, and I really really hate Aerosmith.

But in this particular case, I think just watching the initial oilrig part won't have any permanent side effects - I suggest excercising the mute button just in case the music kicks in.

Really really really hate that song...

I tend not to appreciate movies that need a celebrity soundtrack full of OTT singing - I mean surely a motion picture should contain dialogue that's more important than that big gobbed idiots manglings .

IMO a soundtrack should be exactly that, not a marketting excercise just because Liv Tylers starring in it. If your gonna go to those extremes then you have to do it like in XXX, when Rammstein played in that club that the spy got shot in. I'd have to say though that my favourite soundtrack on any movie is the original Blade movie, that's even better than The Matrix's soundtrack I think.

It's called Feuer Frei, or (Fire!) - I like Rammstein, they're so dark and evil in a camp German sort of way. Mutter is another great Ramms' song.

I thought I heard "Fire..." something in it. Great song, gets you pumped. I have bought 2 of their CDs in the past trying to find that song. May have to buy the soundtrack to get it though.
