Newcomers DBPro Corner / Loading my model

Hi I'm new at Dark Basic and on the forums, but I understand certain aspects of programming( I use Gamemaker). My problem is when I load the Pacman model, pac.x, it won't load it. All I'm doing is..

but it says something like "can't load the object". I've loaded other models that were included with the software, and I've even loaded a space craft model I created, but I can't get this to work. I create my models in blender 2.41, if this might have something to do with it then please tell me.

If you want a meaningful response then you'll need to be a little more exact than that.

There could be dozens of reasons why something won't load the way it's supposed to, so the exact error message you get is quite important.

What is it?

That's the error I get. My exact code is..

but I've tried it with just the load object function as well. I've also tried putting the model in the same folder as the game instead of the media folder. Could my file be corrupt? or is it just a technical error? I've also tried importing a .3ds of this model and it won't load either. Hope that's enough information.

I use DBP. I am currently working on the design of a 3D pac man game, and an FPS based on an outbreak of mutants called "Outbreak".

some things you could try:
1) triple check the file path, make sure every letter is right
2) make sure it's a .x (and not a .dbo or .3ds)
3) try exporting another model over "pac.x" (make a backup of it first), that you know works, so you can see if it's the file name that's messed up or the file itself .

I've tried all that, but this isn't a problem anymore. I was actually getting on right now, so I could post I solved the problem. I downloaded milkshape today, and I don't get the problem I did with blender (plus I can actually USE milkshape). Thanks for your help anyways.

do you have a media folder if so use something like this
[load object "media/pac.x] hope that helps
