we seem to be complete opposites
I make big projects that take a week or more, and you make 1 minute pinguins and dinos.
to each his own

coming soon: Ford GT vs. the Corvette.
No, really.
I'm serious this time.

Awesome indi! I just might use that. Thanks.

Edit: Well i imported the 3ds into wings and it was in a really weird position. After a little work it was ok though, but i also had to invert to make it normal. I was planning on using this as a monster in a game but i'm not sure if it will with 3k polies. Still looks cool though.

the last three uploads are just casual modeling and I wont be needing them for anything so i uploaded them.

I do high end work for commerce not for fun.

I can supply a much lower version as I just hit smooth on the hex feature panel.

here is a sample of a commerce model about 4 years ago now.
It should be ok to post up as the content has lived through its lifecycle.
its of ned kellys armour, a famous bushranger and was a documentary on television regarding it here in Oz.

the giveaway is at the bottom of the armour, the metal could not be that thick.

No, there been a doc program about Ned Kelly, in the uk too!!

If i remember right, he was caputured by being shot in the legs, one of the few places his armour didn't cover.

Of course, i could be wrong, and think of something different!!

To try this, I've got to be nuts!!!

After completing that assignment I can tell you some interesting things.
The actual armour in the museum might be his brothers.

The armour was honed by testing stolen police guns of the day from bushwhacking coppers.
The coppers guns at the time were the most accurate and powerful around.
The armourers were never found, a series of armour tests was found in a cave many years afterwards.

It was common in the day to collect trophies.
On officer turn his nutbag into a purse ! eeww.

He was shot many times yes, the top of his helmet was exposed if he leant forward.
He had only 30% vision with the visor, his best trick was to spray with a shotgun, and then finish you off with a handgun, when he bushwhacked.
The whole kelly affair co-incided with the irish revolution at the time.

When he was caught he went to melbourne jail/goal.

During his first visit the sewer pipe cleaner got arrested sneaking people out.
The olde sewer collector told ned and he slid through the sewer to escape one night.

The guards were tipped off, when caught on the other side he knew of the accuracy to the weapons of the day and challenged the guards for a running start. They said no.

Then they hung him for good
Then they made a deathcast of his head.

The armour I made my model off might be his brothers suit due to trophy hunting.
It is rumoured the captain of the guard got the breastplate.
