Hi guys. Good news there will be a new FPSC guide available at the end of the next month or so maybe slightly later, I spoke about it a few months ago in one of my threads. It has evolved quite a bit from the original layout it now includes quite a few extra things. Instead of doing a level design tutorial it now is a “How to build a custom FPSC game in 14 days” guide.

This has every thing in it to getting you started and has been written for new users starting out. It has a comprehensive Q&A no question has been left out.

The guide is around 300 pages and counting. Chapters in this guide will start you of with getting started with FPSC like how to import your customs content into FPSC step by step. The really good news is that it will have a complete step by step scripting guide.
The guide will be showing you how to effectively use trigger zones with in your game it will also be looking at things like texturing, light mapping, using shaders and a guide on building levels. This is will not teach you how to build games, it will teach you how to use the software effectively to get the best results when building your game. Over and above the written guide it has a DVD section with video clips covering most sections of this guide showing you step by step importing new content and getting them FPSC ready.

This guide will include a segment and model pack that will be free to use in your games and consist of 100’s and 100’s of segments. The current segment list has over 900 new segments to use in your games

Due to the amount of work that has gone into this pack and guide I can’t give it away for free and would have to charge for it. Will post a confirmed a price later.

Now comes the nice part I’m not going to go around asking people for stuff. But I would like to supply a free CD with FPSC content. A simple request if any of you guys would like to feature your FPSC content on the free disc please post a link to the software including the license requirements. This can include demo’s textures models sound, pretty much any thing FPSC related.

At this stage every thing is still in word document format and I still have to decide if I'm going to convert them PDF format or some thing else.I had a look around and found some formats that have password protection.

Sounds great. Check out the OG Freebies section (main site), as well as the FPSC section of our forums; tell me what you'd like to go on the disk, and I'll give you the OK (as long as credit is given on the disk itself).

This sounds like a great idea, and I may be a customer...since scripting isn't exactly my cup of tea.

It took me a few months to fully under stand and experiment with the scripting.


As for the license requirements still working on the EULA.But don't be concerned I have each and every ones best interests at heart.And will contact each and every one to confirm user agreements with you.

I still need a go ahead from TGC to add the FPSC segment and enetity creator to the Free CD I will send a email later on or if your reading this I would really like your assistance in this matter I would also like to add the latest updates and perhaps the FPSC demo on the free content CD.Of course I have to send you guys a copy of the guide and DVD's for approval before release so that I can remove any thing you don't want in it.

Thanks for the response guys.

If you own any of the following software please let me know if I can include it on the disc and what your requirements are.

Signs I would like to put the new version of signs lite on the disc.
FPI maker this will from part of the guide on scripting.
Any other software demo's you would like to share.?

I also require about 5 game demo's and perhaps 2 full versions games.If any of you guys would like to share your game please let me know.

I agree with Tryano man, the models should be able to be downloaded ($10 is'nt free). If you have affiliation with FPS Creator then im sure they will host files and links. If you do not have an affiliation then you need a web site so we can take a look your project WIP like an example segment/segments, ect. Most guides that are able to be downloaded online will show Chapters 1 and 2 free with title refrences to the other content so people can see what they are purchasing before hand.

I knew some one was going to ask the question....the simple anwser $10 shipping fee.Express airmail any item will take about a week mabye two. The problem with this is the content cd is a DVD now and downloading 4.5 gig isn't all that fun.

Besides the free content it will also contain the media for the guide.Instead of having two cd's one content one media to save costs I combined the two.This version of the guide is purely for people that can't afford downloading the whole guide(The downloadable version only has the guide and the media and excludes the content cd but can be downloaded separate from the guide)

Also please note that only one version will have the segment pack.This pack will not be downloadable or for sale seperate and forms part of the full complete package.
