Hey all . My sound card arrived today, nice and shiny in a used modem box ( ). I installed it, set the drivers up (4 reboots!)... and now I still don't have sound.

Now, my problem isn't quite the same. I can now compile and run DBP programs (before they almost always crashed with a DBPSoundDebug.dll error). Everything SAYS sound is working. In fact, recording is working too, because I can record sounds and the programs register input.

But no sound plays.

My speakers are set up fine, I haven't changed their configuration since I set my computer up. I've made sure the sound card is set to recognize two speakers. I don't know what I'm doing wrong ...

If I have to buy new speakers I will, but... danmit I've been waiting a long time for this to a arrive, and now it's not working . But I'll do whatever I need to to actually get sound working...

Thanks all...

Oh, and there was one other thing...

While I was gutting my computer, I noticed that my video card has 'TNT 2 Asus' printed on it. Eh? The advertizing for my computer clearly stated it came with a GeForce 2 MX. If that's so, why is TNT2 printed on it? Does it use a similar model?

How about:

http://www.asus.com/products/vga/v7100pro/overview.htm

According to ASUS website they only do two Geforce2 MX cards, see here for full chart!:

Neither of those links work for me

But do any of their cards have 'TNT2' printed on them? Seems funny...

Humm....
