Hey all, i've been trying everything i can imagine to get my collision to work, and for some reason, DBP will crash if i use sparky's dll, or polygon collision... no clue why, and since i'm using an X map, and X models, and the map is NOT flat, it varries consistantly. I've read a LOT of the tutorials, tried raycasting, which still didn't work, and i still don't understand. I will post my code (maybe full code and send some files if needed) to anyone willing to help. It's a long code...

So, i'm kinda stuck trying to use the native commands, which isn't going too well, using a sphere for the person is fine with me, but i need polygon for the map...

thanx in advance.

Did you include a memblock command?

If worst comes to worst I believe there is a snippet (or several) around here somewhere demonstrating sliding collision using the INTERSECT OBJECT command.

As for sparky's collision DLL you need to write some memblock command anywhere in your code. You could write DELETE MEMBLOCK 1 in a part of the code that isn't even used if you wanted to. But in order to work Sparky's Collision DLL requires a memblock command to be in your code somewhere; wheather it's used or not doesn't matter.

When trying sparky's on my own, my own program, i didn't include the memblock command... but, when trying some of the examples, (aka, copy and paste) just to see if it was just my programing... i still encountered the same problem. As for the intersect object, i have tried it, and have used it with limbs... and it seems that just because collision is set to polygons, it crashes, same as the sparky's, it just seems to crash when compiling...
