It's DBPro. And no, the FPS count wasnt faked, but it was from a 500mhz PC, with an 8mb SiS graphics card n_n, so that shows its pretty optimised to even get that fast :-P

I would be unstoppable if I could just get started...

Yup, it still looks a bit crap though, the models aren't animated for the simple reason I'm not gonna use them, and they're not mine anyway.
Also, if anyone would like to help me make the UI, I would be really grateful, as the one you can see in the screenshots took me well over an hour, as I'm horrible at 2D art.

cool looking pretty shweet so far. I'm suprised you have actually kept this going for this long . Most people just give up but you are different . Anyway, when you get something near finished I can do some music for you if you want..

Keep up the good work

Thanks PetRat, that would be cool

I hate giving up on projects, especially if I promised to do it for so long, so this stays hehe.

I'm now thinking of releasing it in sections, i.e when I finish the battle system I'll release that, when I finish NPCs I'll release that etc. and then when I have all individual sections finished I'll fuse them all together into a game in its own right.

Also, if anyone has a sprite / image font I could use, I would be very grateful.

Another update coming up soon.

I'm sorry, I have to divide my time between a number of other projects, this, and college. This is still a solo project, I have to do all of the coding, planning and media .

I now have the battle system more or less up and running, however, I'm taking a short break from coding on it for the reason that exams are coming up in about two weeks.
After that, however, I'll have a few weeks off, giving me more time to work on this and hopefully I'll be able to release the first part before christmas.

Guys - give Kent a break. You dont know how hard it is to do an entire RPG, yet alone by yourself GL Kent - if you need anything for the Battle system media wise, Ill see if I can do something when I have the time.

Im in the same dilema as you, juggling school, exams and programming - no easy task!

Keep up the good work!

Thanks sonecgaimr n_n.

I've got my exams next week, after that I'll have plenty of time to work on this. I'm thinking of making a new thread once I've finished the battle system, as this one is mostly talk and no screenshots. I might also start a thread in the team request forum asking for people to help, so anyone who wants to help, keep your eye on the forum

Cheers,
Kentaree

[edit]: Oh, I forgot, I'm also looking for a name, as "RPG Source Demo" doesnt really sound catchy

Kent I can help with some media Cant animate yet tho

Well if its a game, then match it with the plot. If its just a little learning experience you could just call it something like

RPG Basic's
