I dont know how to say that...
Some games i downloaded from here (e.g. "umbra") have a menu which comes before the real game starts. There you can choose control settings. What is this? Where can I get it?
Please help me if you understand what i mean.

this is done with fpspack. It basically secures the game files and makes everything into one exe.

They use a program called FPS pack. It can be obtained from http://rastaworld.com. It costs money,but it is worth it.

On the site it also says that the keygen function is no longer in it. And that a keygen feature can be done with an installer. doez anyone know what they mean?

It means the code has been removed from the application for the user to set up a ken generator for the product, that your users would need a "key" to open the game. He's saying to do this operation in a installer program once the pack is packaged with FPS Pack.

But since this product is only fully usable with V1 where there is no save and load, like Candle said, you may want to save your money.

If your just looking for an installer/packaging utility, check out "Clickteam Install Creator" on Google. It's free but provides no protection. If it's protection your wanting for your media/game, theres only one program at this time that works with FPSC and it's save and load. Search for "Vishnu" in the engines provided at the bottom of the page. Fps Pack and Install Creator are packaging utility's only, and provide no protection. Vishnu is a protection application, but lacks the users ability to change the look of your games for security reasons. Your needs dictate which application you choose.

Personally, install creator and Vishnu are the only choices. Pack is 20$ for something install creator can do, and Vishnu is only 11$ for stuff Pack has no chance of ever doing.

Just write a small program to edit the setup.ini file thats all you need to do.
Not hard.

Candle if your talking to me, all s4's time on a comp as he's busy with work, is devoted to making all of Vishnu's functions work correctly in Vista and testing. Your best bet is to email him any ideas via his site or I believe you have his real email addy. I only talk to him on Aim, since his time is so limited during these nice weather months.

Not to hijack this thread: Candle I seen your request for Mary and I'll try and get that tightened up for you. My main comp is experiancing problems and it's a pain working on things at the moment. I haven't forgot about you though.
