Hello everyone,
Elite OPS Terrorstrike (or EOT for short) needs some voice overs. We are looking for mature voices (any accent is fine). We thought a female voice would be good but it is not necessary. This is how it would work, You send us this sample line (of any character you want) in a .wav format saying this "Lets go soldier! the squad is leaving now." (Or something else you made up) If it fits the criteria then we will send you the scripts for your character in our game. Of course anyone who voice acts will get rewarded with: Their name in the credits, a model pack I made with assorted entities (railings, spaceship, bars and lots more) and a free copy of our first game we sell. If anyone would like more detail please just ask and we will answer your question as best as we can. Here is our email address EOTcrew@gmail.com Thanks,
Slayer_2

(edit)
This means I have the scripts for part 1 done for that character:

Taken or finished:

Characters that need voice overs still.

Jason Andrews: you
Darren: The terrorist leader
Medic Andrea: A friendly medic (but only if we can get a female voice)
General Warren: The guy ordering you around on the radio
Private Morrison: a friendly soldier
Lieutenant Mark: an arrogant soldier
Corporal Adam: A friendly soldier [N/A for part 1]
terrorist #1: A random terrorist
Terrorist #2: Another random terrorist
Hostage Paul: A hostage you have to save [N/A for part 1]
Nurse Mary White: A nurse you have to rescue. [N/a for part 1]
Tech Rider: A tech who upgrades your M4
Part 1 finished

The scripts may contain some improper words like cr@p or d@mn but if you are uncomfortable with this please tell us and we will work around it.

Sorry for the double post but now we have a bunch of parts finished now that need female and male English or American voices. I'm not to worried about accents and we would be grateful to anyone who would be kind enough to do even one part. Thanks,

Why does Lieutenant Mark have to be an arrogant Englishman? Why not Spanish, Italian etc? Your game is lacking multinationality so far...

If you read my last post you would see that the we don't care much about the accents of our characters. He could have a Spanish, German or Russian accent For all we care. Its just that I doubted that there would be a mature forum dweller who speaks very good English and would be willing to help us. Also may I point out that this is our game and Lieutenant Mark is my friends character (He was thought up by him) therefore he is as my friend wants him although I'm sure he wouldn't care much about the type of accent his character has. BTW my friend has an English accent so if anything he (and neither do any of us) have anything against English people. Thanks for your comment and no hard feelings,
Slayer_2
(edit)
OK well maybe our game doesnt have much internationally but it is a video game. I am removing the voice type tags now.

Ok here is the terrorist 1 part 1 lines. They are very short and not very creative so I thought I would put them out so people interested could see how the scripts are laid out. If you want them in notepad format instead I will put that up too. BTW part one is finished now.

yes certainly (or maybe we could just make someone younger) but if your interested would you send me a sample of your voice to EOTcrew@gmail.com so I can tell you a certain yes or no?
Slayer_2
P.S. I personally think that Corporal Adam is the youngest person in our game (he is about 18).

I sent a voice sample to your email, so let me know if I can help.
Can you post a few more lines for the other characters?

OGG Vorbis might get the files smaller.
I made the sample in a WAV and it was 1 mb.
I converted that file to OGG and it was only 311kb.
(The OGG was less than a third the size of the WAV.)

Thats why I gave you the link to Audacity.
I record my voices with sound recorder too.
Then, I open the WAV with Audacity and Export it as an OGG Vorbis.
I like the small files better because I am on dial-up.

P.S. Downloading now...
P.P.S Using your natural voice first (for the audition) is usually the best thing to do, the lines will tell you the type of voice to use.

Slayer,
I do not want to use my natural voice for any character other than myself.
Any game character's voice that I do will be an animated voice. (or un-natural)

I'm sending you a zip via email of the lines that you sent me earlier.
May take awhile for the email to show up since its big for my dial-up.

EDIT
file sent

I want to do General Warren next if it's ok.
