If anyone is interested, FPSC it's now Available at www.artemisoftnian.com

- Are some one is having problems at the time of import your characters animation to FPSC.

- Did your animations look messy at the hour of test your game.

Well Maybe this application I'm working on can help you a little:

Animation Master - FPS Creator Animation Viewer and Fixer

Import any model that FPSC support.
Plays the complete animation.
Set the Start and End Frame of the animation.
Sets specific rage of animation
Onion Skin visualization of the Frame for easy view.
Exports the corrected FPE file for your character automatically.

Check the Screen Shot and tell me what you think and what you spect of if.

Any Comments are welcome

What kinda file extensions dose this work with? Personally everything I need can be done in Max, but for guys that use Blender and any other odd modeling application this program could be the whip if it works with more then .x files.

Good luck on it

Thanks all for your comments. I going to work hard on this to finished as soon as posible.

In the picture I'm posting you can see one of my custome character (a velociraptor) that i'm creating for another proyect named Eras of Time. Also you can notice that Replacing the text box in the Animation name area i include a Combo Box whit the names of the default animations that FPSC can use. That way you dont need to write them, just select them. In a Option menu that i'm going to put this weekend its going to be an option to select to use FPSC animations or Customes animations in where you can put whatever name you want to put there. Tha's all for now.

Remember, continue posting your comments here, Opinios, What would you like to see in the application, anything.

More News next monday!

Thanks Happy Easter to all.

Very nice, I can't think of what could be added. Other than maybe loading a custom .bip file and it loads anims from that which can replace the current ones, although that is a bit much it is justa general suggestions.

Kudos on a great idea nd good luck with your project, hackinc2000

Hey it looks really close to something I worked on awhile back.
http://www.ozarkgames.com/smf/index.php?topic=1017.0

I don't have any intentions to carry on with it, But, maybe you could use a few ideas from it.

1. Ability to strip the animations and have a static entity in the pose it was on the screen.

2. Show the wireframe

3. Allow adjusting the animation speed.

4. Strip out animations that won't be needed.

5. Ability to load Textures

Best,
Terry

Depending on who you are taking too:

It is to Me:
News about Animation Master:

-Well I'm paling to Realease Animation Master on or Before April 30, at a price of $16.99 USD.

- I'm including on the proyect an editor to Edit the FPE files manually in case you needit. This is what i'm working now!

After study for a staticstics exam tomorow, and If i fix some errors after that; well i post some more pics to show you the progress.

About some of your comments

1 - tschwarz: I guet very scared when i saw your application UI really its very similar to mine. Cause of you I'm going to add an adjusting speed future, and if i got the time the ability to load Textures. (on V 1.0) if not well after the release.

2 - donmmaH Kram: I don't know how to work whit bip files out of MAX so for now your petition is a no no. Maybe in Future Versions, But Its really a good idea.

Well See you all, Need to Study

Ypu may want to change the name.... Animation Master is trademarked name already. It's the name of modeling/animation application that has been around since the Commodore Amiga time and still is being developed these days for the PC & I think Mac also.

Looks Great! But I noticed you're running Windows Vista. Will that be one of the System requirements? I still have XP

Edit:

And change the name. Maybe Frame Viewer-X or something shorter than animation viewer and fixer.. that's a mouth-full

@Nue B

It's made in DBPro, so It won't just be compatible just with Vista.

Hi again, First Bad news! Can't Finish for tonight or tomorrow. Moving release to next moday May 21,2007. I hope i can finish before that day. Why? I need to fix some bugs and of course make the documentation.

I'm posting a screen shot of the edior and a screen shot of the main window whit two new things.

Main Window - Areas in Red:
1 - Take a snapshot of the character, So you can use this image as the thumbnail that appear in FPSC Entity Selection Window.

2 - The trackbar in the red area, is The speed trackbar here you can set the speed of the playing animation

Editor Window - The editor window now have the same settings that you enter when creating the entity whit The Game Creator's EntityMaker. This way you can doit in more graphically way. Remember too that in this case is only for Weapon and Character FPE's.

Yes you can make your own animations. Go to File > Options, And Set Use custome animations. But remember that if you use custome animations you need to Edit the FPI script that calls that animation, to use the correct animation name.

well the options windows should be working! and you can set this option. I think that for the demo you should restart the program for the change take effect! Tha's something that i'm fixing Right now in the release one.

Also in the Demo i include the unfinish Help File. With this help file you should be getting familiar whit the application.
