It's going to cost $400. And you need the $500 video card, the Nvidia G-Force 8800. At the moment that's the only card that will work with it. If you wan't a demo for FPSCreatorX10 go herehttp://www.fpscreatorx10.com.

i had to make a new account im no noob my old name was 300 win mag

When they release FPSC x10 (you can go to the offical site and sign up to be notified) I am sure they will announce the price.
I know for a fact (although I don't know the exact price) that it won't be much higher than the current version of FPSC.
And...no,I don't know if current FPSC owners will get a discount or not.
But Rick Vanner posted in another thread about FPSC x10 (I don't remember which one since people just keep making them) that the price would run along the same lines as FPSC (give or take a few dollars, pounds, etc.)
My guess is they won't tell you the actual price until they release it.The release date will be here soon.
In addition to post info on the official site I would bet Rick will also post about it here as well.

ya i think they learned theire lesson with FPSC V1, when the annonced the price to early and when it changed they had to give away model pack 1 for compensation.

As far as I know, all DX10 cards will work, not just the Nvidia Geforce.

One more question, will I be able to use the model packs that I used in the first FPSC or will I have to buy new ones.

Sorry for all of the questions but does anyone know if the same FPI scripting will be used in X10 because I have been trying to learn it and I want to see if it's a waste. If X10 is going to use the same scripting as the original FPSC can anyone suggest a good tutorial for me to learn with.

Note:I am completely new to FPI scriptnig so a tutorial stating from scratch assuming that I whave no idea what i'm doing would be perfect (Ireally have no idea what i'm dooing).

I'm pretty sure it'll use the same stuff, maybe a few new commands will be in order.

Yeah do it. Scripting is an invaluable skill.

There's a sticky at the top of the scripting board that covers the basics.

@Slayer simon, second to last post:

The 8800 is the only CURRENTLY supported card, so maybe it's the only DirectX10 supporting card available at the moment.

I am on POST APPROVAL status, so i'm not posting as much as i would otherwise

When i got off post approval i'll try to post more answers than questions

the great thing about vista is that it has really good security so you dont have to pay for new expensive 'vista compatible' stuff.

but anyway, i would give a discount if you own fpsc and give it free for us EA owners (i'll never forget early adoptors )

those were the good days

I inquired just the other day about X10 and this is what I was told.

Quote: "Hi Kenneth,

No details on pricing, or addon packs. It should be released towards the end of May, providing there are no development delays. Please note you will need Windows Vista and a nVidia 8800 graphics card to run it.

Daniel."

nVidia is supposed to have the 8600 series cards out this month.
Price is from $99 to about $249 USD, and all DX10, for the rest of us.
Vista is a must for DX10, so another $159 for Home Premium upgrade.

Is X10 being done by TGC or other people?

I'm sorry, but I don't really feel like upgrading to vista, getting a brand new video card, and getting X10.

Plus the price of electricity to install X10...

It all adds up.

Remind me a wheeze and bitch at the next videogame producers who make something worth playing in DX10 - how dare they provide software for better hardware than my own, how very, very, dare they.

I don't know if anyone has any idea of why this is happening but I'll ansk anyway. I an running the full version of FPSC and whenveer I go t test a LvL I tells me that my 30 day trial version is up but the trial version has been up since like last September and I have used the full version since. I all stated when I made a LvL on the trial vers on my other computer and put it on a disk and tryed to bring it this computer. I completly deled FPSC and tryed to reinstall it but It wno't let me reinstall it. For some reason it's only giving me the option to modify, repair, or remove. I tryed the repair and remove both did not work when I tryed again. Anyone know what's wrong?

I was just emailed from tGC themselves on Monday night I think and they said they didnt have aprice.

As far as your problem with FPSC, remove the program. Then go into your program files and look for the folder the Game Creators. Delete that, empty your recylce bin and then use disk cleanup. It iwll delete everything. Turn off your computer completely, like log off and shut it down. Leave it off for a few minutes. Turn it on, re-install the software form your disc that you got in the mail form TGC, then load it all back on, enter your key etc. Dont forget to add the RC updates. After that it should be fine, because you erased any trace of the previous 30 day trial version. I hope that helps.

I never saw anything in the newsletter saying that and I read it. As I said, I got a email less then 3 days ago saying they didnt know, well after the newsletter came out.

The only interesting thing in the newsletter I read was:

Quote: "Some good news for X9 users is that almost all the bug fixes (and a few new features) will migrate to the XP version in time, and we have made the decision to ensure that the original version of FPSC runs great on Vista as well, so there is no need to step up to X10 if you're happy with what you have. "

Did a new newsletter come out that I didnt receive?
