Right, heres a problem that has only been bugging me since... FPSC:EA... but oh well

how do you get an area REALLY DARK, not just not lit, but almost pitch black.

i really should know this, but oh well

No it isn't....Look up ambiance on Google,find the definition.

It's my suggestion to make the changes in the actual file as well in case you have any special additions to your set up fpi that may get over written.

Also your sigs wayyyy to big. 600x120 bro

I had this same question because I wanted to make a dark pit, you know?

I used black fog. Just set all the fog color values to 0 and the fog active to as high as you can in the build game/global script.

This is one of the basics, and it really has been asked several times ever since the program was released. Little search wouldn't hurt.

But let's say it again: go to File > Build Game > Level Settings, and here click the edit-button of the "global script". From the menu change the value of Ambience Level, it should be something like 35 by default.

The lower the value, the darker is the ambience of the level, thus making shadowy areas much darker.
