How can i place a gun ONTOP of a table? Sorry for being such a noob, I just downloaded trial today and might buy full.

Absolutely your correct...

But this is a simple thing.... Pressing enter hmmm I usually pick my entity then hover where I want it then press U to get the entity to bump up...
Or press page up or page down to manually move it up or down...

Then the rotating part use keys 1 thru 6 ontop your keyboard not your keypad...

Ack answered all the questions and left nothing to think about... Oh yeah the gun glows how to kill that.... Now thats a script feature so right click your entity and change your scripts...

What script you ask.....HA!!! see this is where the manual becomes extremely valuable so now I get to re-quote Thraxas again (smile)

To pick up girls. It's all about being redneck. lol. Well it worked for me.

Dark Abyss- You have already been given an answer. You have already been told what to read. Read Nicky's guide. And read the manual. I'm in a good mood. If you want to be precise with how high/low you want to move the entity. Use the Page up and Page down keys.

Now go read the manual before you ask some more questions.

I'll answer it since it took me a while to figure out as well...

Right click the entity to enter the entity editor windows.
Move the entity with Page Up or Down to move an object (marker, entity etc.) well...up or down LOL!

Depends - Do you want a quake 3 glow spinning effect on the table, or a more realistic gun lying down on table?

Quake 3 style - Just press page up to move it a bit above the table, then press ENTER. (Make sure that it's appear script is "Appear2.fpi" if you are using the default scripts that come with FPSC)

More modern game - Press page up to move it above the table, and then just press buttons 1-7 untill it lies down on the table how you want. (Use Appear1.fpi for this.)

Depending on your CPU, it might just stand up.

At this point you don't.But we are working on that.
Maybe Disturbing 13 will drop in and post on how to make a decent title for your thread as "noob question" doesn't really describe anything and has probably been the title of several threads.
