You have a lot of stuff in your library. Why do you have so much stuff?

Red Stone Games,

I have most of that stuff too, but I was glad to see a couple of my entities in there as well.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Bigger library=better games. Half my stuff doesn't work, though.

I use my library good if you know what I mean.....

HA! Just kidding! Wanted to "spice up" this thread!

Yeah, it's how you use your library that matters......

Well, let's just be honest here. It's been said that size doesn't matter, but I'll bet that it was said by someone with a small library. What developer wouldn't want to have a big library, and for that matter, what player wouldn't be tickled to receive a game made with a huge library?

That being said, I'm not sure you should be displaying your library here in the open.

Best.

I'm assuming we have no female members on this board, and definately not any female mods, or this would have been shut down long ago lol

wow. I posted that at about 3 am.

I wasn't really paying attention, and hadn't noticed them!

In my defence, one was

small hit smoke.

but the other 2 were unforgivable!

Sorry

Anyway, added a few more little black squares

I myself like to keep a clean library. So I got the TGC packs with the default models and the models I made in my library.
But Ive zipped and dropped each model I have ever downloaded either from the forums or from friends or from other's websites (In which case you all deserve a big thank you from me) and I have set gees hundereds of zips in a FPSC folder sitting on my HD so when ever I have a need for a certian model I can just pull it and drop it in the library as needed.
Typically the models I do use outside of TGC or my own would be
Stamina's (Excellent Pack I might say)
Chupa Cabra (This guy has a ton of excellent models)
Locrain (Best school pack Ive seen yet)

If I havent mentioned your name please forgive me as there are alot of you and alot of you have donated to this forum and even if there not used by me I am sure I have a copy sitting in my collection just waiting for the day that I may have a need for them and for that I thank each and every one of you for allowing me to have a copy and to build a model library that would make most people drool.

here's mine

i counted 1974 Entities

sometimes it takes 20 to 30 seconds to load it (if there are other big processes running... like O&O)

the biggest Part is my own "Generic Pack" (there's a video on YouTube about it) -> 832 Entities and growing (it will be free, but the german community will get it first )

it's a lot work to count it... i stopped making lines to count, wrote numbers and used the windows calculator

if i count the vertical size... then it's about 5000 pixels

my desktop res is 1280x1024

My System: Intel Xeon 3060 @ 2,4 GHz, Asus Commando, 2GB DDR2-800 RAM, Thermaltake Shark Black, Sapphire Radeon X1900GT, BenQ FP71E+

does rearranging your library have any bad effects on builds? I reorganized my library as well ( face it...the default organization by model packs is horrible) and have had a problem building a certain map. I test just fine so if the engine finds the assets for the test it should find them for the build , right?
