I dont know what the problem is but it needs fixed bad. My project was doing fine, not taking up much cpu at all. Then I change the name on the window from "DarkBASIC Proffesional Project" to "Fire of the Light" and now its taking up 100% memory every time i run it and if i close it by clicking the X in the top right corner, it just hides the window and its still running in proccess's on Alt+Ctrl+Del taking up 100% CPU.
I dont know whats wrong with it but this has to be fixed badly.
Also, i dont know if it means anything but the icon dont show in the top left of the window anymore, it just shows the little window thing instead of the sword thats the EXEs icon.

Yeah I've had this too. Delete your ".dbpro" file and rebuild it. God knows what happens.

Cheers,

Wait! - Eponick, did you delete your only .dbpro file, or can you still post its contents (open it up with Notepad). It would be nice to be able to diagnose the problem.

Do you want Windows menus in your DBP apps? - Get my plugin: http://snow.prohosting.com/~clone99/downloads/tpc_menus_102.zip

I've had projects that when I change the name to a specific text, it would crash my program like you described. Then, if I changed it back, it would work fine.

The solution? Change the name of the window title at runtime.

Really?

If you change the window title the memory leak will not happen?

How do you check these memory leaks anyway?

I know that a friend of mine had an ATI card and it sucked his memory dry in DBPro 4.

Are you running ATI when this happens as well? Out of curiousity?
