I am pretty sure this is not covered in the manual. If it is I have by accident skipped over it. Sorry. I am trying to assign the "open door" function to another keyboard shortcut. Any clue?

Manual (p.63) section 8: Building a Stand Alone Game. Specifically page 64, under key controls.

My apologies. I knew of this section. So I guess what you can assign is limited to the options it presets for you? Take for instance Torque....I can assign any key or combination to do whatever I want. I could assign different keys for different doors if I wanted. Is that not possible with fpsc? Even as I re-read my request and reply it sounds stupid but I don't know how else to put it. Flame away...hahaha!

You can assign different keys to doors by assigning them in the doors' script (e.g. dooruse.fpi). Use the scancodekeypressed= instead of the plrusingaction= condition and assign the code for the key you want to use.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

@xplosys Awesome, thanks.

Also, the option that thraxas mentioned is only when a game is built but not previewed. The key functions don't take affect but in the final build. Not a big deal but still....

I personally wouldn't use test game because sometimes things that worked fine in test game don't work in a built game. So I build each version I'm going to test. It takes a bit longer but saves hassle in the long run.

@Thraxas
I have run into this problem before with the game play being different. So thanks for the advice. I will use that method.
