Hi, just wonderin if anyone knew of any programming/game programming books that are not language specific...ie C++, C, Java, etc. Im looking for a book that talks about different methods of doing things, the algorithms, math, etc but doesnt actually discuss it in the context of any one specific language...thanks.

I don't think you will find a book that doesn't at least use some sort of language for demonstration purposes. I got a generic book thats called 3D Graphics Programming. Its mostly conceptual like you are looking for but it does uses C to show some examples. Though, I wouldn't say you really need to understand C to understand the book.

I understand a certain degree of C++ , but just the basic stuff ie no windows related programming, api, etc. Just the simple programs you could make with the standard language set. Basically my knowledge on c++ is that of a c++ primer book.

If you are interested in learning the windows api then http://www.winprog.org/ is a good place to start.
