Hi, just wondering if anyones come up with away useing DP to make limbs or leaves fall of trees when they are shot.

you need more than one tree, or rather a tree that is made up of multiple objects.

say for example you have a tree and it is made up of 4 sections split up however you like, then you just position the sections then when it get shot you do your thing to the sections.

Are yes - I was also wondering if it would be posible to add a cloth affect using dark physics to the leaves etc of a tree/shrub so it deteriates when shot at - Is this posible and if so would it cause great drops in speed?

i have no idea if this is possible, but could you not use a single cloth object textured with an image which is transparent except for leaves. This cloth object could then be draped over the tree trunk (which could be destroyed as described above using limbs), but the cloth object could break when shot at and it would appear to destroy the leaves.

in short, have one cloth object for the leaves not one for each leaf.
