I've looked on the forums for correct measurements in FPSC.

In google sketch up there are the following measurements styles: Feet / Inches, Inches, Centimeters, Meters and Millimeters.

I haven't tried Milkshape since the Quake 1 days so I am unsure of what their measurements are.

My question is what is the correct measurements to use for Walls, Doors, etc in a modelling program.

Example
[Door]
Width: 14' (X Axis)
Height 20' (Y Axis)
Depth: 5' (Z Axis)

Hopefully you understand what I mean. (see image).

And what is that in Feet / Inches?

I can't seem to find any Sketchup templates that are in pixels.

my god please do not use google sketch up unless you bought it you can't get models into FPSC and if you bought it you should have gotten milkshape

not true red stone, you can get google models into fpsc without buying it, ive done it countless times.

oddly enough the actual conversion would work with google sketchup to FPSC model standards because 100 pixels is equal to 0.500 inches if you went by normal conversion's.

But I have taken a wall from FPSC in .x format converted it to .3ds and imported it into sketchup and the standard wall that should be 100x100 turned out to be 8'4" x 8'4" by 4" that's what measurements I got for the standard wall in FPSC when importing the wall into sketchup.

Now issues I have gotten is when you use multiple textures for your wall sketchup does not export it correctly the uv map gets really out of wack so I really don't suggest using sketchup myself for FPSC even though it is a very simplistic modeling program..



See this I was able to get over into FPSC but the uvmap is all wacked out and all I get is a white wall with the grooves in it.. I know I got to sit down and learn LithUnwrap to uvmap this correctly but unfortunatly I just dont have the time to sit for the tutorials and figure this part of it out well as of for now... But yes those deminisions do work well with FPSC but make sure your axis is set correctly to not in the center of the model but at the corner of the model.
