I’ve just updated my copy of DBP with the “DarkBASIC Professional Upgrade 6.6” patch. Then I followed the steps listed in the Activation Guide.
(The activation program said it was successful)

Now when I startup DBP a small window appears with this in it:
Quote: ""To upgrade from trial version to the full version, click the respective icon above.""

(And a small DarkBASIC icon in the middle of the window above the words.)

The window quickly vanishes after appearing.
(There are no buttons in the window to press and it disappears without further input on my part.)

Does my copy of DBP think it's the Trial version now?

Try building a quick project. In the bottom-right hand corner, is there the DarkBASIC Professional logo?

Quickly coded this:

Didn't seem to have a DBP logo anywhere when I ran the code.

Weird error message showed up when I ran the code about my version of Direct-X being out of date or something... odd since my DX version is the most recent version save DX10. I'm pretty sure it is anyway.

If the error pops up again I'll record & post it.

Code ran fine despite the odd message.

Me too, but as everything compiled OK with no silly trial warnings, I assumed everything was tickity.

Common-Sense has been removed from service, due to lack of interest. Thank you for your time.

I originally did the v6.6 upgrade and saw that message too, i had some other software messing up at a later date and reinstalled windows and did a fresh install, and i still get it. Everything seems to compile with no problems and no logos.

Mess with the best, die like the rest!

Yeah, I'm getting this too. It seems to be mostly harmless and I wouldn't worry about it. It's likely a bug where the window gets called up but then there's some sort of fall back code where the window itself realizes that the copy's registered so it closes. At least that's my guess.

I don't get compilation with logos and trial version notifications, so no worries here.

No matter where you are... everyone is always connected.

If one of the plug-ins you have is a trial version, the icons stay up longer - the icons are clickable. That's all the message means.

So it's the plug-ins that the message is referring to being 'trial' not DBP itself? OK.

I don't have any plug-ins installed at all. My DBPro is a fresh install from the CD and then the .66 upgrade applied.

I can live with it, though it would be nice not to have to see it.

Any idea why my plugins wont work? I'm havin the same problem, my version number is appearing as 1.063, but for some godawful reason, my cloth & particles pack just wont work. I mean, the compiler doesnt recognize any commands. Any ideas here?

I get that message too. I doubt you should worry about it, it's probably just an update glitch. It'll be fixed in the next update.
