Hello all.

For a couple of weeks i have been working on a Login system for my Multilayer games. obviously everyone has the same problem using multiple maps in multilayer. So i created this system for my own personal use. Below are all of the features it has.

Login System:
The login system that i created is quite unique. I spent many house thinking well if i am going to charge people for my multiplayer game how am i going to do it? i didn't want a Key system All key systems can be cracked using Olleyb if you have knowledge of your CPU.

Anyway. So i thought ok how about a login system? As i am a PHP-Web-Developer and i have good knowledge of VB this was going to be easy and it was.

My login system will do all it should and make sure the player logging in has game time on their account. If they don't they can not play the game..

Before you ask, they can just click the EXE for the game and change the settings to what ever game they like. I'm working on it

Game Selection
Ok once everything has been authorised the next stage is chosing the game you want to play. This includes, the Map, Player Count, Game Type, Frags, etc etc. Everything. Once the user has picked this it will run the EXE with that MAP, and all of the setting you just chose.



Anyway the reason i have posted this is because i would like to know if anyone would be interested in me making this commercial for a fee of course. But changing everything so it can all be customized by you without having to code it all your self.

I would be greatly interested in hearing people views on this matter.

sounds interesting, of course you will need to protect the exe somehow but that shouldnt be to hard, what program are you coding it in?

I'd rather not post any screenies until its closer to being finished.

I will keep you all posted on progress but it doesnt look like ill be doing any work on it today too much uni stuff to do.

I like what I am seeing so far. trying to get a mmofps started up. just not finding the proper engine for the price range our small company has.

Hey Guys,

Sorry i haven't posted sooner ive been too busy with Uni work. It sucks. Nearly done tho. Anyway..

Due to my Uni work it may be delayed so in 2 weeks i can work flat out getting it all working. At the moment it is just personalised for me. And is nearly fully working, But obviosley i will make it so you have a wizard to step through changing all backgrounds etc. Then it will create the EXE.

As for cost. Yes it may be a small fee. This i will have to work out.

Well any other questions feel free to email me you might get a faster reply. Or just post. Im open to opinions and ideas as it is still in early stages.

Just a small update for everyone so they know what their requirments are:

Web server, that is PHP 5+ enables with A MYSQL database.
And a computer

thats pretty much it.

I will make the PHP side of it as easy as i can for non experienced people to install on their personal server.

If someone wants it installing by me on their server for the PHP admin side of it i will charge a small fee.

But as far as that goes it may be a few weeks now as i said Bloody Uni.

Are you making your scripts cms friendly like for phpnuke or joomla or mambo, xoops and so on so its easy to intergrate into there systems?

Or are these just straight up php scripts you upload to your ftp and a sql file you upload to your mysql and then you get to figure out how to incorperate these scripts into your system?

this looks awsome and i was just thinking about doing something like this if it was possible. i would definatly be willing to pay for this, but only if i could try it out first. keep up the good work.

Damn, sorry guys. got a new job, just graduated. been on holiday. had other projects to do in my spare time, and games to play. but m back. GoodMan i would love your help and MSN please. Also i will not be completing this untill i have finished 5 ARENA maps and a fully functioning website for my game. So dont wait for me, i will be doing this for my self in my own time and then think about selling it once i have done it. Im in no hurry.

Ok the game time will work like any other game, but i am uncertain on how to stop the users from just running the EXE and changing the INI themselves. it gets tricky here but i'm sure its possible.

Clip: They swhould be CMS friendly, or you could just use my CMS i was working on a few months back, err once that gets completed. lol.


A Demo? No, because i will make it for myself and then maybe hopefully mod it to be released. so dont wait. it will be out when im ready to finish it. this is the last thing on my agenda.
