If you go to my website, http://www.zaibatsugames.com/ and go to the downloads section, you can find a tutorial on how to texture an object using Milkshape and UV mapper. It has 31 screenshots with captions explaining things, so its great for beginners.

If you download, leave a comment in my guestbook, its only polite

I changed the download so the images have watermarks on them.

looks alright, but two (small) things to note:

+ starting from picture five, you have the paint window in the background... if the load obj window was the active window, press Alt and Printscreen to just capture the current window, not the entire screen (saves disk space and makes sure we're looking at the right thing)

+ to make it easier to find the first ten pictures, you could have saved them as picutre 01, picture 02, then picture 01 would lead on to 02, not 10

But, as for what's on the pictures, it's good, explains clearly what to do at each stage

thank you. I will not be retaking the pictures becuase that would take too long for my liking. I may update the picture names though.

Thanks for this, I will dig deep in to this. I'm really a n00b sometimes, I really don't know jack about UV mapping but I understand it's the ONLY way to have multiple textures on an object.

I.... NEED.... HELP....

And with this tutorial I should finally have my egg of columbus. So thank you.

Zaibatsu, you are a genius and a saint. I've been struggling with a good way to texture for like.... forever now. Both Darkbasic as well as FPSC creator. FINALLY there's a foolproof way.

If you ask me they need to either pack this tutorial with the manual or put it on the frontpage.

This topic is VIP and needs to at least be pinned at the top. Will save a lot of people a whole heap of problems and headaches.

Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you.
