On the product information page for DarkGDK it compares DarkBasic Pro framerates with C++, is there any such comparison that has bene done with Visual Basic to see what performance boost if any there is?

I know some VB but have never had the time or patience to learn C++

Anyone have any info on the performance of DarkGDK.net with VB over DBPro? The C++ stuff on the website shows good performance boost, wanted to know if the VB was worth doing to sqeek out more FPS...

CLR (.NET) is of similar running speed to C++.
There is a slightly longer application startup time with CLR than C++ due to JIT having to compile.
